A selection of beautiful designs, for everyone to enjoy!! There are six stitcheries which you can make into a wide range of options including - wallhangings, a small quilt, cushions or even a bag.

We have created a wallhanging for you to make that incorporates all six stitcheries. This is a project that you can make as scrappy as you like, or as controlled as you like.

Thread colours are a personal choice. This is a good opportunity to dive into your thread collection and use a variety of colours and shades.

Wall Hanging Approx. Size 28” x 36”

Friends in Stitches

Cushion Approx. Size 14” x 14”

Trim your stitchery to 8½”. Frame your stitchery with 1” strips (cut at 1½”) and then add 2” borders (cut at 2½”) or for a more scrappy look make your border with a variety of 2” wide pieces.

Trim your stitchery to 8½” and use this to make a pocket on the outside front of your bag. Make your bag using a variety of 2” squares (cut at 2½”) in a six by six grid. The back of your bag can be more squares, or one piece of fabric, or again as scrappy as you like. Add a 2” strip around the bottom of your bag to form your bag base. Make handles to a width and length of your choosing. This would make a great gift for a friend!!

To make one Sawtooth Star, cut centre square at 4½”. For star points cut eight, 2½” squares. For star backgrounds cut four 2½” x 4½” rectangles and four 2½” squares. To make one Chequerboard block, cut 16, 2” squares and to frame it, cut two, 1½” x 6½” strips andtwo, 1½” x 8½” strips.
