From the Tossed Frogs & Hearts - Cream (A), fussy cut:• (5) 4 ½” squares, each centered on a frog.

From the Modern Melody - Teal (B), cut:• (3) 2 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (40) 2 ⅞” squares. Cut (20) of the squares across (1) diagonal to make (40) triangles.

From the Modern Melody - Cream (C), cut:• (1) 3 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (10) 3 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (40) triangles.• (3) 2 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (36) 2 ⅞” squares.• (5) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (72) 2 ½” squares. From the Modern Melody - Brown (D), cut:• (3) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (20) 2 ½” x 4 ½” strips.• (1) 2 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (16) 2 ½” squares.• (1) 3 ¼” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (10) 3 ¼” squares. From the Bubble Dot - Teal/Aqua (F), cut:• (2) 2 ⅞” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (16) 2 ⅞” squares. • (2) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut strips into (16) 2 ½” x 4 ½” strips.• (5) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Bubble Dot - Lime Green (G), cut:• (1) 2 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut strip into (16) 2 ½” squares.

From the Frogs in Squares - Aqua (H), cut:• Fussy cut (4) 8 ½” squares, each centered on a 4-block segment.

From the Bubble Dot - Cream/Green (I), cut:• (2) 1 ½” x 38 ½” WOF strips.• (2) 1 ½” x 36 ½” WOF strips.

From the Stripe - Aqua (J), cut:• (4) 4 ½” x 50” LOF strips.

From the Frogs & Words - Brown (Backing), cut:• (2) 54” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 54” x 54” back.

Sewing Instructions1. Place (1) 2 ⅞” Fabric C square on top of (1) 2 ⅞” Fabric B square, right sides together. Draw a line across the diagonal of the top square (Fig. 1). Sew ¼” away from each side of the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 1). Cut the (2) squares apart on the drawn diagonal line (Fig. 2) to make (2) BC units (Fig. 3). Trim the BC units to measure 2 ½” square. Repeat to make (40) BC units total.

2. Sew (2) BC units and (2) 2 ½” Fabric E squares together to make (1) Unit 1 (Fig. 4). Repeat to make (20) Unit 1’s total.

3. Sew (1) Fabric B triangle, (1) Fabric D triangle and (1) Fabric C triangle together to make (1) BDC unit (Fig. 5). Repeat to make (20) BDC units total.

4. Sew (1) Fabric C triangle, (1) Fabric D triangle and (1) Fabric B triangle together to make (1) CDB unit (Fig. 6). Repeat to make (20) CDB units total.

5. Sew (1) BDC unit and (1) CDB unit together to make (1) Unit 2 (Fig. 7). Repeat to make (20) Unit 2’s total.

6. Place (1) 2 ½” Fabric C square on the left side of (1) 2 ½” x 4 ½” Fabric D strip, right sides together (Fig. 8). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 8). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 9). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance.

7. Place another 2 ½” Fabric C square on the right side of the 2 ½” x 4 ½” Fabric D strip, right sides together (Fig. 10). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 10). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 11). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make (1) Unit 3.

8. Repeat Steps 6-7 to make (20) Unit 3’s total.

9. Sew (1) Unit 3 to the top of (1) Unit 2 to make (1) Unit 4 (Fig. 12). Repeat to make (20) Unit 4’s total.

10. Sew (1) Unit 4 to each side of (1) 4 ½” Fabric A square. Sew (1) Unit 1 to each side of (1) Unit 4. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A square to make (1) Block One (Fig. 13). Repeat to make (5) Block Ones total.

11. Repeat Step 1 using (16) 2 ⅞” Fabric C squares and (16) 2 ⅞” Fabric F squares to make (32) FC units (Fig. 14).

12. Repeat Steps 6-7 using (32) 2 ½” Fabric C squares and (16) 2 ½” x 4 ½” Fabric F strips to make (16) CFC units (Fig. 15).

13. Sew (1) FC unit to each end of (1) CFC unit to make (1) Unit 5 (Fig. 16). Repeat to make (16) Unit 5’s total.

14. Place (1) 2 ½” Fabric G square on the top left corner of (1) 8 ½” Fabric H square, right sides together (Fig. 17). Sew across the diagonal of the smaller square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 17). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 18). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle ¼” away from the sewn seam.

15. Follow Figure 19 for the seam direction to add a 2 ½” Fabric G square to each of the remaining corners of the 8 ½” Fabric H square to make (1) Unit 6 (Fig. 20).

16. Repeat Steps 14-15 to make (4) Unit 6’s total.

25. Layer and quilt as desired.

26. Sew the (5) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric F strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

17. Sew (1) Unit 5 to each side of (1) Unit 6. Sew (1) 2 ½” Fabric D square to each end of (1) Unit 5. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Unit 6 to make (1) Block Two (Fig. 21). Repeat to make (4) Block Twos total.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)18. Sew (1) Block One to each side of (1) Block Two to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Three.

19. Sew (1) Block Two to each side of (1) Block One to make Row Two.

20. Sew the (3) rows together, in numerical order, to make the Center Block.

21. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 36 ½” Fabric I strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 38 ½” Fabric I strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

22. Center (1) 4 ½” x 50” Fabric J strip on (1) side of the quilt top and pin in place. Start sewing the strip a ¼” from the top edge of the quilt top and stop a ¼” from the bottom edge. DO NOT TRIM THE EXCESS. Repeat with the opposite side.

23. Repeat Step 22 to sew (1) 4 ½” x 50” Farbic J strip to the top and to the bottom of the quilt top, making sure to stop and start ¼” away from each end of the quilt top. To miter each corner, fold the quilt top on a diagonal, wrong side together. This should line up the strips from adjacent sides (Fig. 22).

24. Starting at the sewn seam (represented by the arrow in Figure 22), draw a 45-degree line to the edge of the fabric. Sew on the drawn line. Trim the excess fabric leaving a ¼” seam. Repeat this step with the remaining corners.
