We must earnestly encourage people to do what is right. We must speak with love and great patience. We must teach what they need to make a change for the better. Therefore, we will continue to preach the one true gospel that includes one body and one baptism (Galatians 1:6-9; Ephesians 4:4-6). The Lord charges us to preach the word in love (Ephesians 4:15); we are to stand ready in favorable and unfavorable times with the pure word of God. Preaching the truth means we must reprove those in error and sin. We must admonish and warn people not to follow the broad path of lies and myths. We must earnestly encourage people to do what is right. We must speak with love and great patience. We must teach what they need to make a change for the better.

Therefore, we will continue to preach the one true gospel that includes one body and one baptism (Galatians 1:6-9; Ephesians 4:4-6). The gospel has God’s power to save (Romans 1:16), and no one was ever born again without the word of God (1 Peter 1:22-25).

We reject the notion of a direct operation of the Holy Spirit to convert the sinner. At Pentecost, Peter preached and the people’s hearts were pierced (Acts 2:37). Philip preached and people believed and obeyed (Acts 8:12, 35-39). Saul of Tarsus obeyed the words Ananias told him in Damascus (Acts 9:6; 22:13-16). Cornelius and his household were saved by the words Peter spoke (Acts 11:14).

We reject the Calvinistic doctrines of total hereditary depravity, salvation by faith alone, unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistible grace, and once saved always saved. We reject the belief the Holy Spirit works directly on the heart apart from the word to bring about conversion. We hold baptism to be necessary to salvation and the time at which God forgives our sins (John 3:5; Acts 2:38; 22:16; Romans 6:3-7, 17-18; Colossians 2:12-13; Titus 3:3-7; 1 Peter 3:21).

We stand ready at any time to preach these truths. Please continue to pray with us and for us that God will open doors “for the word” and that we may speak with clarity and boldness (Colossians 4:2-4; Ephesians 6:19-20). Please remember us with your generous gifts; we need your financial support and encouragement.

Preaching the TruthNow that May is here, we are

beginning to see the storms. We are ever grateful we can rely on God through the storms of life, and we are thankful for all those who love and support this ministry.

I recently travelled to Dallas to attend the Lads to Leaders convention. I was privileged to hear many fine young men speak and lead singing and to watch hundreds receive recognition for their yearlong efforts and skills. We have no greater responsibility than to train our children spiritually. Many churches rightly spend thousands of dollars on Bible school curriculum; I encourage churches to consider training parents to spiritually train their children.

Please read Chris Lyon’s article on page two. A radio network recently cut SEARCH from its programming due to its belief in the truth about what we must do to be saved. Network officials apparently regard the Biblical doctrine of baptism for the remission of sins as false. While we are disappointed we can no longer broadcast the truth on those stations, we stand firm in teaching the gospel of Christ. We will not allow the religious world to dictate our teaching.

rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction” (2 Timothy 4:2).

In Oklahoma, we are in the midst of spring showers, thunderstorms and always the possibility of tornadoes. It is just part of GOD’s seasonal changes we all expect in the central plains. At the same time flowers and trees are blooming and the grass is green and growing all around the Edmond area. It all is truly a testament to the awesome power of the LORD we serve!

About a week ago I received a phone call from a “Christian” radio network salesman whom I have purchased air time from for more than eight years. In fact, the audio portion of the SEARCH program was currently on a total of nineteen of this network's radio stations weekly all across the country. I assumed he was calling me because of additional openings on other of their available stations. To my astonishment, he was not calling about new availability, rather a problem had been escalated to the attention of the networks upper management, and, it was regarding the SEARCH program. Now in my more than fifteen years at SEARCH, never have I had a call where a network took issue with what is preached on the SEARCH program. The issue was the fact that SEARCH proclaims, from time to time, the essential need for immersion to be saved. I responded with, “Have you not ever listened to our message over the past eight years? I don’t believe there has been a single week’s broadcast where we don’t speak to the absolute need for baptism!” After a lengthy conversation in which many chapters in the book of Acts were discussed, I was informed, effective immediately, SEARCH would no longer be broadcast on any of their stations. At the end of our heated conversation the only thing I could think to say was “it is your loss!”

I decided to write about this incident because while feeling persecuted, I realized how SEARCH must be frustrating the ruler of this old world. IN SEARCH OF THE LORD’S WAY will never back down from teaching the GOSPEL in truth and love as Mack Lyon and Phil Sanders have presented it for nearly forty years. We appreciate your prayers and financial support of this ministry!

JUNE 4 – A FRIEND TO JESUSEveryone needs friends. The best friend

you’ll ever have is Jesus Christ. Jesus knows what it means to sacrifice himself out of love for His friends, and the Lord Jesus wants to have you as one of His friends.

JUNE 11 – THE MESSAGE PREACHEDGod sent His Son Jesus to the cross to die for

our sins but chose a message preached to save those who believe. The cross and the gospel work together to bring about our salvation. The gospel opens the door to the cross.

JUNE 18 – PASSING ON THE FAITHWe can find no greater need than to pass our

faith on to our children, so they may teach their children about all the great things God has done for us. As parents, we must train our children to love and serve God.

JUNE 25 – DOES JESUS CARE?Life can suddenly become harsh, causing us

to question whether the Lord cares about us. However, a sparrow cannot fall from the sky without the Lord’s knowledge. He knows and cares for us through every storm of life.

SEARCHOF THE LORD’S WAY ®

ATTICA, NY “I currently have a lot of time to reflect on my life. Since coming to prison, I have completely changed my life through accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior and walking with Him on a daily basis. I believe that Jesus offers hope, healing and a new purpose for each life. Through an amazing awakening to new hope and life purpose, I believe I have been called to serve my neighbor and to replace the cycle of crime in my life with a cycle of renewal. I’d like to give back to my community rather than taking away, as I did in the past … The purpose of this letter is just to say thank you to In Search of the Lord’s Way and my restored faith in Christ Jesus.”

HOUMA, LA I am enclosing a check to help preach the gospel

of the Lord’s Way once I finish my Bible degree. At times, it may seem mundane and one may feel marginalized, but it’s not the case, the Lord has given us all a part to play in His Kingdom. The services you folks do is amazing and nothing I could comprehend on the technical side, I’m so grateful for your willingness and heart to commit it to the Lord.”

GRAY SUMMIT, MO “We watch you every Sunday before going to services. Thank you for all your lessons and the singing. We always look for the man with the long white beard!!”

CHATTANOOGA, TN “We just returned from a trip to multiple countries. How blessed we were to still be able to watch your program on YouTube. We often worshipped with Search in our hotel, and then worshipped in another language at a local church. We love your work for the Lord!”

of our Lord, which I believe is the greatest work of all and I want to do my part to God’s glory. I shall continue to pray for all the Churches of Christ who are preaching the gospel. Please pray for us as we are doing the same. God bless your efforts and love for Jesus!

DENVER, CO “We wanted to thank you so much for allowing us to come and see the behind the scenes work it takes to produce In Search of the Lord’s Way. We were so grateful for the opportunity to see the organization and meet the men and women that give their lives for the work to make it happen. It's an incredible work for the Kingdom and has such far reaching effects that will transcend time. I could only hope to be blessed to be a part of such a work as In Search
