18. Comments:

♦ Mr. Uhlman asked the Board to reconsider their position on the 2010 early retirement incentive passed by

Governor Pattersen on June 2, 2010. The ETA felt that although the cost was significant, the savings would be substantial. He asked that the Board seriously consider the “Part A” option with or without sick day conversion.

19. Business Report:

♦ Drescher & Malecki began work on the external audit.

20. Superintendent’s Report:

♦ There will be work sessions September 21st and October 12th at 6 pm. One of the two dates will be spent on data. One will be for goal setting, if that is still needed.

♦ The Boys & Girls Club will be implementing an after school program for grades K-2 at GLP this fall. ♦ The Booster Club will park as many cars as possible on the black top at Eden Elementary School and GLP

this year. Dave Martin will determine if the grass area is ok to park on. Buses will be parked at the high school, so that the Corn Fest can use the bus garage lot for parking also. Hopefully, this will reduce the damage to the lawn. The Booster Club has contacted teams, clubs and PTA to man the parking areas. Doug Beetow is working with the Boosters on this.

♦ Thank you to Brian Burgstahler for his service to our country and congratulations on his upcoming retirement from the Air Force.

21. Board Report:

♦ Mr. Gannon discussed the conference budget line. The amount budgeted for 2010-2011 was $1,000. At the budget work sessions, it was felt by several board members that the conference budget line should not be increased, especially because cuts were being made in other areas. Some felt that only the registration fee should be paid by the District and any other expenses should be paid by the board member.

22. Approved motion to expend up to $1,000 to pay for NYSSBA registration fee with the understanding that

other expenses will be split evenly up to $1,000. 23. Future Dates:
