PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS SELECTION GUIDE

Acetone Strong, fast-evaporating solvent for use as a thinner and remover of epoxies, vinyls, resins, adhesives and lacquers.

Boiled Linseed Oil Extender and fortifier of oil-based paints. Additional uses include protection of metal and to aid in water repellency for furniture finishing. Processed with special additives to shorten drying time (usually 12-18 hours).

Brush Cleaner Cleans, conditions and restores hardened brushes and rollers used with oil-base or latex paints. Rinses with water for easy clean-up.

Denatured Alcohol Thins shellac, lacquers, resins and certain inks. Good for clean-up of brushes after use with shellac and as a clean-burning fuel.

Epoxy Thinner A carefully-balanced blend of solvents for thinner epoxy coatings. Follow epoxy coating manufactures recommendations for thinning. Cleans equipment used in the application of epoxy coatings.

Isopropanol (Isopropyl Alcohol or IPA-99%) A general all-purpose cleaner that disinfects surfaces used in labs, schools or clinics. It preserves specimens, cleans computer parts and tape head cleaning and removal of fluxes, light oils, polar soils, and white mineral residue.

Japan Drier A special blend of lead-free drying agents that accelerates the drying of oil based paint and varnish. Effective for damp or cool weather conditions to speed the drying time between finish coat applications.

Lacquer Retarder A carefully-balanced blend of solvents to prevent blushing during periods of high humidity. Follow lacquer manufacturer's recommendations for mixing.

Lacquer Thinner A carefully-balanced blend of solvents for reducing the viscosity of clear and pigmented lacquers.

Liquid Sander Deglosser Recommended for use prior to refinishing with latex finishes, oil-based paints and varnishes. Creates a temporary tack in painted or varnished surfaces to help bonding in new finishes. Eliminates the need for sanding in many instances before repainting.

MEK An alternative to Acetone with a slower evaporation rate. Can be used for the same applications as Acetone.

Muriatic Acid A 20° Baume Muriatic Acid (31.45%) for cleaning and etching masonry surfaces. Controls pH balance in swimming pools.

Odorless Paint Thinner Used in all types of oil-based paints, varnishes, stains and enamels. Cleans brushes, rollers and spray equipment. Not for use in latex paint or other water-based coatings.

Paint Thinner Used for thinning all types of oil-based paints, enamels and varnishes. Use wherever paint thinner or mineral spirits is recommended by the paint manufacturer. Contains 100% pure mineral spirits.

Professional Parts Cleaner Cuts through motor oils and grease without leaving any residue. High Flashpoint 145 F

Raw Linseed Oil Extends and fortifies of oil-based paints. Additional uses include protection of metal and refinishing of furniture to aid in water repellency. Processed with no additives added to the product (100% pure oil).

Removesit Adhesive Remover General purpose adhesive remover that works on a variety materials including most glues, adhesives, gum, dried latex paint, wax, caulk, mastic, residues from labels, tapes, stickers, decals and much more.

Toluene A fast-drying solvent for thinning oil-based paints, varnishes, enamels and alkyd resins. Paint manufacturers often specify toluene as a thinner for specialty coatings. Also known as Toluol.

Turpentine Pine tree-derived, professional quality thinner for oil-based paints, enamels and varnishes. Excellent for use by artists in thinning oil and other art grade paints and finishes.

VM&P Naphtha Recommended as a substitute for paint thinner to quicken drying time for spraying and brushing applications. For use in all types of oil-based paints.

Xylene (Xylol) Alternate to Toluene with slower evaporation rate. Often specified by paint manufacturers as a thinner for specialty coatings.

Green Liquid Sander Deglosser Effectively cleans and prepares surfaces for use before painting, lacquering or staining.

Green Muriatic Acid Etches concrete, brightens concrete and masonry, and to remove excess mortar from bricks. Controls pH balance in swimming pools. Complies with SCAQMD and CARB VOC requirements.

Green Paint Stripper Strips paints and coatings from a wide variety of surfaces. Environmentally-friendly product with very low VOC and contains no hazardous air pollutants or methylene chloride. Complies with SCAQMD and CARB VOC requirements.
