I spent four months in the Fall on a major research project dealing with the church drop-out rate in teens and young adults. This Sunday I’ll share with you the results of that project and the key insights/applicaons parents need to know from it. When? We will be having Parent Table Time at 9:00 AND 10:30. Who? Any parent or grandparent with kids sll at home OR any one who hopes to be a par- ent in the future. How does it work? Take your kids to the nursery/their Connect Group as usual. Then join us in the gym. NO NEED to go to your adult Connect Group for aendance; we will take care of that in the gym. UPPER LEVEL Basketball Season 4 is coming April-May 2016, for special needs children 8 years and older and adults Children and Teenagers play on Mondays, April 11-May 16 Adults play on Thursdays, April 14-May 19 Tip-off for UPPER LEVEL basketball is the week of April 11! We ancipate this ministry will connue to grow and we need your help! The league is short term (6 weeks) but provides the opportunity for extended ministry. Volunteers can register online and players can download a form at www.crecreaon.com. Or get more informaon at the Fitness & Recreaon Ministry HQ by the Welcome Center or in the FLC. From the Pastor I am grateful for Corbe Sanders leadership in Mission Hot Springs, a joint effort with Hot Springs Bapst Church and Pleasant Hill Bapst Church to blanket the city in Jesus’ love one week this summer. As he menoned on Sunday, our commitment day will be May 1, not coincidentally, our Mission Celebraon Sunday. Please be praying about what role God would have you to play this year. Please take note that on Sunday, April 24, we will have an evangelisc service in our two wor- ship mes. I’ve invited Charles Mays, rered pastor, now evangelist, to preach to us on that day. Through More Than a Face we’ve been sharing Jesus, building relaonships, and inving people to Christ and to the church. This would be a good Sunday to invite your lost friends and family mem- bers to aend. The gospel will be made clear, Jesus will be exalted. Perhaps Jesus will save some people that day. Please be praying and inving! In April, More Than a Face calls us to focus on sharing Jesus’ love with co-workers: the guy in the next cubicle, the associate at the coffee break table, a business partner, an employee, a boss. Please pray for one or two of these people in your life and look for opportunies to share Jesus with them. Please email me any More Than a Face stories you have so far in this emphasis. Stories encourage us all. This Sunday we’ll be doing a lile more Spring Cleaning as we deal with the sin of buck-passing. Personal responsibility is on the wane in our culture, sadly even among Chrisans. Let’s think to- gether about taking responsibility for our lives and our sins. Then, we will come back on Sunday evening for the ordinaon of two men, Bill McGehee and Brad Philips, to the office of deacon. I hope you make an effort to be here in support of these men. See you Sunday. Your Pastor, John Aendance ............................ Education & Outreach Ministry

The basic goals of the Nominating Committee and how it works: *Pray for the Lord’s direction and work in the lives of members to place them as He sees fit. *Encourage all church members to discover their spiritual gifts and complete a Christian Service Survey to find a place to serve the Lord, the church and the community. *Thank current workers on the Servant Leaders List and find out if they will continue. *Help provide names of potential workers to leaders of organizations. Inform Leaders and committee to confidentially clear names of poten-tial workers with the committee before enlisting to ensure a good match and a manageable spread of responsibilities. *Enlist church members only for Directors and teachers and other critical positions. *Our Insurance Company now recommends that we wait at least 6 months before enlisting new members to work with Birth through Youth age groups to prevent background problems, even if they have a clear background check. Each minister will initiate background checks for their workers with kids. *Our Insurance Company also recommends we have at least two adults in each room with kids as well as two on each vehicle for church trips.
