Hey, Ūth!

I don’t know about you, but I’m thankful to be a part of a church that takes the Bible seriously.

Not only do we encourage mem-bers to memorize scripture, but Bro. Wes and I challenge each other weekly to memorize the scriptures that are posted in the bulletin. We don’t do that to im-press others or to gain more knowledge; we do it be-cause God’s Word changes people! And not only “old people” like Bro. Wes and me, but even young whip-persnappers like y’all! King Josiah was still a young man when the lost copy of God’s Word was found. The reading of it changed his life. Daniel and his friends were very young when they were taken from Judah into captivity, but knowing the scriptures and the “recent” prophecies of Isaiah and Jeremiah gave them hope and courage. So, I challenge you teens to not only get into the Word daily, but also to memo-rize scriptures weekly! When we seek Him, we will find Him when we search for Him with our whole hearts! (Where’s that from?) Loving serving you, Bro Jody Psalm 119:11

I want to personally invite everyone to at-tend our Spiritual Renewal Conference

coming up on February 21—24. Please make arrangements to attend all four nights and come to the luncheon on Tuesday, February 23, if you can work it into your schedule. I believe these meetings will be very important for our church family. I want to remind you of a verse in Mat-thew 13:22 that says, “The cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word.” There will be many temptations and persuasions that keep us from experienc-ing the life that God wants us to have. We are never free from the recurring waves of the invasion from the world. The conference will help you combat those things that wave over us time and time again. I hope you will attend.
