Hope those that attended had a great time. It was a great set up this year. The addition of the marquee, huge screen and PA system allowed videos and music to be added into the presentation. Thanks again to Mike and Leanne and all the helpers throughout the night. The night kicked off with beef rolls, salads and a few drinks. We then heard from Ben Wright via a video interview. Ben was competing in Brisbane (see report below). We started the official count round by round which included some light entertainment, raffles, quizzes and a few more drinks thrown in. A quick break for pizza and we quickly raced towards round 23 with the winner being Lance Fiaschi with 142 tips.
Congratulations to Lance! WELL DONE!!!!

Hi Gents,
Please see attached a video of my biggest lift today. I finished on a lift of 180kg which
snatched me second place.
Enjoy tonight, please give my apologies for not being there. And pass on many, MANY
thanks to the entire FTT team. My result today was possible because your continued
support. I really wouldn't be here without you. I'll be wearing my dunce hat in spirit.
Thank you,
Ben Wright
Ben Wright was in Brisbane for the IPC Powerlifting National Championships on the weekend of our Tipping Count Night.
This was the first chance for Ben to compete this year and he was eager to prove that he had been working hard and had improved.
Ben’s first successful lift was 172kg, the highest opening lift of the day and a 5kg improvement from his lift last year. Ben’s second lift was 177kg which also went off without a hitch and set him up for a final lift. Ben then lifted180kg, the biggest lift of the day and a new National record in the Up to 88kg class.
Overall, Ben finished 2nd behind Abebe Fekadu who lifted 170kg at 58kg body weight.
Ben’s next challenge is the European Open championships in Hungary (20th of November). Then there is the trip to Malaysia in February 2016. Ben’s ultimate goal is to qualify for Rio later in 2016.
Ben sent us a video of the lift and the email below thanking FTT for our help.

Someone had to try out the sports bar1 so
why not us? It was very relaxed and a great
way to watch footy, golf, rugby, racing, soccer,
tennis and boxing all at the same time.
Visit fttinc.com.au and you will find the Tipping Results Summary and the week by week results. While you’re there, check out our upcoming events, past events, newsletters, sponsors and much more. If you would like to have your company included on our affiliate’s page, please let me know. Huge thanks to Alec Allday.
Oh! I could get
used to this!
Hehehehe… me too!
Chilling out
Sunday we split into two groups, one group watched North beat the
Dockers. The others were chauffeured on a relaxing tour of
Mornington Peninsula visiting wineries and goat cheeseries.
This goat is eating my
shoe… What shall I do?
Best meal of the
weekend…

A few FTT members (sponsored by a couple of generous businesses) headed down
to Meadow Springs for their annual golf day. The weather was great and there was
some red hot golf played. Unfortunately the FTT team finished well down the list.
FTT also helped out during the finals of the wheelchair basketball. Thanks to all the
volunteers that made the effort.
Our first meeting with the Nascha boys was
held at the Osborne Park Hotel. After a few
drinks we swapped a few stories, talked about
movies, travel, work and life in general. It was
a great couple of hours. The next event is a
BBQ at one of the units they share, should be
just as much fun.
In our survey the feedback
was that there are FTT
members out there that
would like to help. Please
get in contact with us and we
can make sure you are
involved in our next volunteer
activity.
Do you need our help? Send through your ideas and requests and
we can put it in front of the committee.
