Fulfill your major/minor requirements abroad Language of Instruction: Spanish SPAIN Advanced Language & Culture in Granada Coursework:300 & 400-level, Internship:300-Level (Semester) This unique Michigan program combines classes with UM faculty and local Spanish professors both at a local study center and at the prestigious Universidad de Granada. The local program center is located in the heart of Granada on Plaza Santa Ana. A carefully selected host family will be an integral part of your experience living and studying in Granada. You will also participate in a unique 5-day, 4-night excursion to Morocco! Advanced Language and Culture in Madrid Coursework:300 & 400-level, Internship:400-Level (Semester) This program is well suited for students who want to be in a large, urban environment and who will be comfortable taking public transportation on a regular basis. For-credit internships and other volunteer opportunities are available. All instruction is in Spanish, and you will take a combination of courses at the IES program center and the Universidad de Compultense de Madrid Advanced Language and Culture in Santiago de Compostela Coursework: Two 400-level courses (Spring) This is a unique opportunity for students with advanced Spanish skills to spend spring term abroad in the historical town of Santiago de Compostela. Earn 6, 400-level Spanish credits while experiencing Spanish daily life. Course topics are connected to the rich history and culture of the Galicia region. Students will also study the historical pilgrimage known as El Camino de Santiago and will hike a portion of it as a group. Language and Culture in Madrid Coursework: Two 300-level courses (Spring/Summer) Spend your summer in Madrid, Spain’s largest city, earning 6 Spanish credits at the 300-level and experience this vibrant city at its fullest. Madrid is a leading cultural center in Europe and home to many world-famous museums including the Prado, Reina Sofia, and Thyssen-Bornemisza. During the summer students can take advantage of the many cultural activities offered through the program such as cooking and dance classes and sport activities. Regardless of your interests, Madrid has something for everybody! ARGENTINA Advanced Spanish Language in Buenos Aires Coursework:300 & 400-level, Internship:300-Level (Semester) Live and study in Buenos Aires! Specially designed for students with advanced Spanish language proficiency, this program allows you to build your language skills and cultural literacy as you immerse yourself in the culture of Argentina and study at a local university!
