BOARD MEETING: Thursday, August 16, 1 p.m.

A Message from Your Senior Club President,

Pauline Aguero:

The summer heat is upon us and the Fourth of July fire-

works are over! Make sure you keep hydrated and come to

the Senior Center to stay cool.

We are looking for the names of members who are ap-

proaching 100 years old, so that we can recognize them in

the Newsletter. If you know of any current or long-time

members, please let us know at the Office Membership

Desk.

At the last Board Meeting, we voted in the Appointees and

approved two new Appointee positions. Molly Muro is the

Assistant Secretary and Phil Ross is the Computer Chairper-

son. Thank you very much for accepting these appoint-

ments. There are many volunteer positions open at the club

right now. Be sure to stop by and check out the Volunteer

Survey to sign up. It is a great way to make new friends and

to get involved.

The “It's Your Money” series is coming to the Community

Center on September 5th. Preregister to attend and look for

“It's Your Estate” in the spring. These series are put on by

local professionals and share comprehensive information

and their expertise in specific areas of financial manage-

ment.

Look for the coupon in this month's Newsletter for another

Polly's Pies Dine-In on August 2nd. A flyer coupon is also

available in the Club Office. In the past, we have had great

success with fundraising for the club at Polly's Pies in

Fullerton. A big thank you to Polly's Pies and Pauline Baker

for all you do for the Senior Citizens Club of Fullerton!

Spotlighting our Senior Club Members

Meet Linda S! Linda has been

a Senior Club member for five years.

She volunteers her time helping serve

lunches in the SeniorServ Program,

and also by sewing quilts on Mondays

at the Senior Center for the Hospice

Program.

Linda has a beautiful smile and

personality. It is not surprising that she

was a teenage beauty queen and was

chosen to dance on American Bandstand. Wow! What a

beautiful woman inside and out!
