Instructions to install security certificates
1. Click on your wireless system tray icon; a list of wireless networks
should appear.
2. Click to highlight UEL-Internal.
3. Click connect (this is an unsecured network); after a few seconds
it will connect.
4. Go to https://www.uel.ac.uk/secure/it/intel.htm
5. A login box will appear; Enter your UEL Username and Password.
6. Select the appropriate version for your operating system from the website
and download the UEL Wi-Fi Setup tool. We recommend you Save it to your
desktop or a USB stick before running it.
NOTE: Third-party wireless adapter management software, for example Intel
Proset or Dell wireless utility, will often disable the Microsoft version of wireless
management, so will need to be disabled or removed before the installation.
7. Run the installation Program application from your download location.
8. Click Next
Click Next
Select I agree
Click Start
Make sure the launch box is ticked
Click Next
Click Exit
The Wi-Fi set-up tool will present the following screen:
9. Enter your UEL username and password,
for example u1234567.
10. Click Start Setup.
11. On the Configuration Successful screen
click Finish.
12. If a bubble like the image below appears on the
bottom right of your screen, click on it.
Then when prompted enter your UEL username and password
and click OK
13. Now click Exit on the UEL Wi-Fi Setup tool.
You should be now connected to UEL wireless network.
