A PLACE FOR DESIGNERS.

FUTUREWORKS × A/D/O. SPONSORED WORKSPACE MEMBERSHIP. A/D/O, as a Futureworks Shops venue, is pleased to announce the Futureworks x A/D/O Sponsored Workspace membership. To help advance Futureworks's mission to provide New York based designers with prototyping and production opportunities, access to coworking space, and design mentorship, A/D/O is holding a contest open to individual designers and teams of two. The winner will be awarded a four-month desk membership to the Workspace at A/D/O.

Please submit applications by August 31 to futureworks@a-d-o.com. The selection will be announced on September 8. The four month membership will commence anytime between September 15 and October 1.

Part laboratory, part co-working space, part design collective, the Workspace at A/D/O is a place where members explore new possibilities in design, products, objects, and fabrication. It is an arena for interdisciplinary experimentation and fosters community collaboration.

Members have access to a full suite of fabrication tools, the support from the Workspace team, access to the full calendar of A/D/O design programming, the opportunity to sell products developed in the Workspace, and the opportunity to present their projects at A/D/O.

Entrants must be product or industrial designers based in New York, and manufacturing products in New York City. The Membership will be awarded to applicant(s) who, in the assessment of the judges, is best suited to realize the potential benefits of the Workspace and contribute to its community as ambassadors for the space.

As an Introductory Member, you will:

• Present on your work and process open to the broader design community andpublic;

• Lead a hands-on workshop of techniques that you employ in your work

Introductory Members will be given the opportunity to activate their project through avenues such as placement within the A/D/O retail store, workshop/class/presentation, or an exhibition of your finished projected within the A/D/O public space.
