It is difficult to narrow down our one favourite room as we feel that all rooms have something to offer but our particular favourites are the Kitchen/dining family space and Lounge, they make wonderful entertaining areas. Christmas 2017 started

off with a visit from our local “Young Farmers Club” who entertained our family and friends with their superb carol singing and bell ringing, which was followed by lots of mince pies and mulled wine, a very special evening! Boxing Day saw 25 plus family members arrive, lots of food, loads of pressies, and an abundance of space for all.”

OPEN PLAN KITCHEN AND DINING AREA – This is truly a delightful space, including modern white base and wall units with chrome handles, black granite worktops, two double electric fitted ovens and an induction hob, with glass splash back and overhead extractors. There is a recess to fit a double American style fridge freezer. This sleek area also includes an integrated dishwasher, wine cooler and breakfast bar. The white sink and drainer sits under a large window a perfect spot for soaking up the idyllic views. This lovely space then flows through into the DINING AREA with large double sliding doors leading out onto the patio. There are two central light fittings and some additional storage - this space is ideal for entertaining. A side door flows through to rear entrance and UTILITY area – this room is a good size with built-in cupboards to reflect the kitchen, space for washing machine and dryer, the boiler is also in this room.

When we first saw the plot of land, we knew immediately where the lounge should be, and we were not wrong, the view here is fabulous.”

“After seeing the plot, we had definite ideas regarding the design, we wanted specifically to take advantage of the lovely setting and fabulous views and knew the property needed to be set across the width of the plot. We engaged an Architect (Hughes of Newtown) to obtain an individual design and our most important request was that the house should look & feel as though it belongs, both to the local area & the plot itself. We loved the sense of calm the plot offered when we first visited & this feeling remains now the house is complete, it has a lovely sense of serenity which is noticeable as you walk through the gate. We are particularly proud of the brickwork, which consists of herringbone, soldiers, pillars and piers, it offers the house an aesthetically pleasing feel. We are also proud of the internal fabric of the property which has high quality insulation, underfloor heating, timber windows and an oak porch with balcony. Inside there is an oak and glass staircase. The balcony is a lovely seating area (drinks & nibbles) but also a superb place to observe the stars in the night sky. From the hallway, the balcony is reflected in the glazing on the stairs which gives an interesting perspective.”
