Tri-Wall has considerable inherent insulation properties, meaning an average of 50% less insulation material needed for GatorDuct than for traditional steel duct.

It is so strong and durable it’s used to safely transport heavy and hazardous goods throughout the world and is quickly replacing wood in shipping pallets.

Tri-Wall exceeds the rigorous requirements of NASA, US Army, Ministry of Defence and the British Antarctic Survey team.

GatorDuct is made from Tri–Wall , The strongest heavy duty corrugated cardboard ever made and will last a life time.

technical information

The GatorDuct System is the world’s most sustainable; advanced and innovative HVAC ductwork system. Created for the demands of the 21st century, it comprises premium performance from 100% renewable resources and is easy to recycle. This cutting edge system offers the lowest embodied carbon ductwork system available on the planet today.

GatorDuct panels, fabrication method and our revolutionary push-fit jointing systems facilitate ductwork sections up to 4m long which can be delivered flat pack to site for easy assembly, saving 88% transport space compared with space usually occupied by fresh air with prefabricated duct sections and components.

Ductwork fabricated from the GatorDuct System benefit from self-cleaning action. The internal and external surfaces of the ducts are treated with a revolutionary coating known as GatorSkin which is able to reduce the accumulation of dust and solid particles, resulting in simplification of maintenance and cleaning operations of ducts.

The GatorDuct System offers noise abatement properties and does not amplify noise like sheet metal ducts, usually resulting in the reduction or omission of noise attenuation requirements.

GatorSkin protection ensures: Fire Retardant - Our patented protective layer provides fire retardant polymers to inhibit the outbreak of fire to BS EN ISO 11925-2 Class E.

Moisture & Mould Resistant - GatorDuct is 100% moisture resistant and will not absorb any moisture internally or externally and zero mould growth.

Vapour Barrier - A non-permeable layer ensures airtightness requirements.

Water Repellent - Designed by nature and using nano technology, GatorDuct is hydrophobic, repelling water from both internal and external surfaces, providing self-cleaning properties like the lotus leaf.

Application Suitability The GatorDuct System is designed for use in building services HVAC applications. It is suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects in the residential, commercial, public, industrial and leisure sectors. It is especially suitable for use on high specification projects in: the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries; clean air and hygiene controlled environments; theatres and concert halls; MRI non-ferromagnetic applications; and sterile areas of hospitals and communication / server rooms in data centres where non-conductive materials are preferred.

Ductwork Design & Sizing The design of ductwork, including fittings follows the same calculation principles and duct sizing methods employed for rectangular and circular ductwork constructed from galvanised sheet steel.

Frictional Resistance The frictional resistance of ductwork fabricated from the GatorDuct System is comparable with that of galvanised sheet steel ductwork. As a result, frictional pressure drop data for galvanised sheet steel ductwork CIBSE Guide Volume C may also be used when designing ductwork systems fabricated from GatorDuct.

Operating Recommendations & Limitations It is recommended that ductwork fabricated from the GatorDuct System is used for operation as supply, return, fresh and exhaust air ductwork for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems within the following limits:

Mean Air Velocity (Max.) 20 m/s.

Design Pressure (Max.): Positive: 1000 PaNegative: 750 Pa

Internal air temperature of –20°C to +80°C during continuous operation.

Size unlimited (provided that GatorDuct System fabrication techniques and procedures are strictly employed).

Pressure & Air-leakage Classes & Limits For HVAC systems designed to withstand a maximum static pressure of 1000 Pa, ductwork fabricated from the GatorDuct System will achieve the ductwork air-leakage limit in line with DW144 medium pressure Class B.

Available FinishesStandard - Natural kraft finish with factory applied clear coat GatorSkin.

Cosmetic - Any solid colour finish is available as an option and will be subject to a minimum run.

Branded - Any branded logo is available as an option and will be subject to a minimum run.
