Initial Proposals for:

Proposed Service Changes and Reductions

June 2016

Why?• GBT has been operating with

flat funding for the past two years

• There is uncertainty about operating investment in the coming fiscal years

• GBT has been working to make the operation as efficient as possible

• Service changes are part of a larger effort to balance the budget

• Small service reductions now may prevent larger reductions later

Proposals:• Reduce approximately 5,000

(2.5 - 3%) hours annually of service

• Consider temporary service suspensions with low impact on overall service

• Implement other changes/improvements that are neutral in cost

** No proposed change to the current bus fare
