Your responsibilities as a homeownerWhether you are an individual homeowner or intend to open a commercial display house or building you need to be aware of the following conditions of participation:

Homeowners/property owners will be required to host tours or be available to discuss the “sustainable elements & features” of the property between the times of 10am to 4pm on the selected date of opening (Sunday 7 and/or Sunday 14 September 2014) You can select to open for one Sunday or both.

Homeowners /property owners have the option to charge a “gold coin” donation with funds to go towards cleaning or related expenditure, a charity of your choice or to yourself. However, it solely the homeowners responsibility to ensure that the collection of funds does NOT negate any of the conditions of your home/property/building policy. Please advise below so we can place notification on the SHD website.

You must hold a current home/property/building insurance policy, as Sustainable House Day is unable to provide any insurance coverage for your participation or any damage to your home. We recommend you check your own policy regarding public liability.

You will be responsible for suppling volunteers/staff to help you on the day You are responsible for engaging 'experts' to attend your event to provide advice to attendees (optional)
