1. InSite Option Installation

1--1 INTRODUCTION

These Service Instructions describe the installation of the InSite Service Capability for LOGIQ 200 PRO system.

1--2 TOOLS REQUIRED

1--3 TIME REQUIRED

Approximately 2 hours plus travel time

1--4 PROCEDUREREAD and UNDERSTAND these instructions thoroughly before proceeding with the installation. Perform each step insequence and check it off when completed. If a problem occurs after completion, go back through the procedure andcheck for implementation errors before contacting your Ultrasound Region Engineer.Check each step as it is completed.

Functional Check--outPerform functional checks to verify that the system is functioning properly. Refer to all Functional Checks inChapter 4 of the LOGIQ 200 PRO Service Manual, 2235374.

NoteThe LOGIQ 200 PROsystem supports 2 kinds of modem -- US Robotics and MultiTech.Installation procedures are described separately in the following chapters of this insturction.

NoteThe LOGIQ 200 PRO Modem includes the preparatory RS232C cable to validate the InSitefunction. Never use this cable when scanning patient to prevent the patient injury.

2--2 Setting-Up Modem

1. Make sure that the DIP switches located at the rear side of the modem are set as shown in NO TAG.

2. Connect the power cord with the modem and plug it with a wall outlet. Refer to NO TAG.

3. Power the modem ON.

4. Power the modem OFF to connect the modem to LOGIQ 200 PRO.system.

2--3 Connecting Modem

1. Make sure that both the LOGIQ 200 PRO system and the modem are powered OFF.

2. Plug the D--sub 25--pin Connector (System side) into the Service port of the LOGIQ 200 PRO Rear Panel.

3. Plug the D--sub 25--pin Connector (Modem side) into the RS232 port of the US Robotics V.EverythingModem.

4. Connect the Modular Audio Cable between the phone jack ( ) of the modem and the dedicated analogtelephone line. Refer to ILLUSTRATION 1--1.

5. Connect one side of the power cord (supplied with the Modem Set) to the Modem as shown in NO TAG.

6. Connect another side of the power cord to a wall outlet.

1. Power the LOGIQ 200 PRO system ON.

2. Power the modem ON after completing the LOGIQ 200 PRO power-up sequence.

3. Press Setup Menu key to go directly to the Setup/Top Menu.

4. In the Setup Top menu, Using the Trackball or arrow keys, choose General System 2 Setup and press Set.Refer to NO TAG .

5. The General System 2 Setup Menu will appear on the monitor as shown in NO TAG.

6. In the General System 2 Setup Menu, Using the Track ball or Arrow Up/Down keys choose “Service Port”.

7. Choose “4:Insite”by inputing the number and press Set .

2--5 Activating InSite Option

1. Enter the service software after completing the power--up sequence. For the service software, refer to LO-GIQ 200 PRO Series Proprietary Manual, 2242594. The Service Utility Menu:Top Menu will be displayedas shown in NO TAG. Refer to the latest service note for the password.

2. Move the cursor to the item “Option Set”and press Set key. Option Set Menu will be displayed.

5. To activate the Option, exit the menu and reset the System.

6. This completes the InSite option installation of the LOGIQ 200PRO Series.

3--2 Setting-Up Modem

1. Connect the power cord with the modem and plug it with a wall outlet. Refer to NO TAG.

2. Power the modem ON.

3. Power the modem OFF to connect the modem to LOGIQ 200 PRO.system.

3--3 Connecting Modem

1. Make sure that both the LOGIQ 200 PRO system and the modem are powered OFF.

2. Plug the D--sub 25--pin Connector (System side) into the Service port of the LOGIQ 200 PRO Rear Panel.

3. Plug the D--sub 25--pin Connector (Modem side) into the RS232 port of the MultiTech Modem.

4. Connect the Modular Audio Cable between the phone jack of the modem and the dedicated analogtelephone line. Refer to ILLUSTRATION 1--3.

5. Connect one side of the power cord (supplied with the Modem Set) to the Modem as shown inILLUSTRATION 1--3.

6. Connect another side of the power cord to a wall outlet.
