INTRODUCTION We hear it every year – the media landscape is changing.
Evolving, converging, digitising, diversifying. New areas grow
as others die. But through it all, the magazine industry
continues to rise to each fresh challenge.
We’re here to celebrate magazine media innovation and
excellence on and beyond the printed page. To this end, the
Magazine Media Awards have once again been revised to reflect
the evolving face of the industry. This includes changes to
some of the existing categories plus five new awards,
recognising the multi-platform nature of magazines.
In particular, our new Rising Star award aims to commend
industry newcomers who are making an impact in our world. As
we seek new ways to captivate and enchant our audiences, we
look to new minds as well as new mediums to get our messages across.

Chairman

With new mediums, new revenue streams, new technology and
new ideas sprouting up with each passing year, it’s important to
keep sight of what great storytelling looks like.
To this aim, the Magazine Media Awards are all about recognising
and rewarding the very best our industry has to offer. Together,
we’re blazing a trail through uncharted territory. In 2016, we
continue to acknowledge the diversity of our industry with the
addition of five new awards: Best Use of Video, Rising Star, Best
Use of Insights, Best Launch/Relaunch and Best Magazine 360°
Brand Audience.
Through these new awards, we’re looking to capture the very
best in storytelling and design, the building of engaged audience
communities, and the driving of commercial success for both our advertisers and our
brands.
We’ve worked hard to bring you the best Magazine Media Awards yet – top judges, a
simplified entry process, and a great awards ceremony. We look forward to celebrating
with you, and wish you the best of luck with your entries.
