For performance accuracy, the GE Ohmeda TuffSat oximeter includes PIr (relative perfusion index measurement), which enables easy identification of signal quality. With this quantitative value, you can compare the strength of the pulse signal at different sites on a patient and locate the best site for the sensor. In addition, the pleth bar complements the Plr value by providing pulse rate strength information for improved patient assessment.
