Tân Thuận Tây là vùng trồng xoài có từ lâu ở Đồng Tháp, trái xoài sản xuất từ đây cung cấp cho thịtrường tiêu thụ ở nhiều tỉnh thành trong nước và tham gia xuất khẩu.

Hợp tác xã xoài Tân Thuận Tây được thành lập vào năm 2015, hiện có 120 hộ tham gia trồng xoài vớidiện tích 104 ha (giống xoài Cát Chu chiếm 70%).

Dự án “Tăng cường năng lực sản xuất và xuất khẩu trái cây Việt Nam cho thịtrường khó tính thông qua giải pháp quản lý dịch hại tổng hợp (IPM)” được kýkết giữa cơ quan Phát triển Quốc tế Hoa Kỳ (USAID) thông qua Đại học VirginiaTech, Hoa Kỳ và Viện Cây ăn quả miền Nam (SOFRI) đã hỗ trợ mô hình liên kếtsản xuất xoài an toàn tại HTX xoài Tân Thuận Tây từ năm 2016 nhằm góp phầntăng tỷ lệ nông dân quản lý dịch hại tổng hợp, tăng khả năng xuất khẩu trái xoàithông qua việc giảm mức dư lượng thuốc BVTV.HTX xoài Tân Thuận Tây được SOFRI tư vấn hướng dẫn sản xuất xoài an toàntheo IPM và VietGAP nhằm đáp ứng nhu cầu xoài an toàn phục vụ nội tiêu vàxuất khẩu.

Trái xoài của HTX có ưu điểm: Trái to, ngon, ngọt, màu sắc đẹp, đáp ứng nhucầu thị trường châu Âu, Hoa Kỳ, Hàn Quốc, Nhật Bản và các thị trường xuấtkhẩu khác.HTX xoài Tân Thuận Tây có thể cung cấp khoảng 600 tấn xoài an toàn/năm,cung cấp xoài quanh năm, trong đó tập trung từ tháng 8 DL năm trước đến 5DLnăm sau.HTX xoài Tân Thuận Tây sẵn sàng liên kết với các cơ sở, doanh nghiệp kinhdoanh trái cây để cung cấp xoài chất lượng cao và an toàn.
