Mentoring Duties• Mentoring is to be done only by designated Mentors

and Mentor Champions and not by Section-in-Charges.

• Principals are to select adequate number of experienced faculty as ‘Mentors’ and a senior faculty as ‘Mentor Champion’.

Second Level & ‘Yellow List’

Third Level & ‘Red List’

First level / Green list

Section-in-Charges would be responsible for :• The initial profiling of trainees in their sections

compiling the ‘Green List’.

• Ensure proper maintenance of F/COM/7202.

Second level / Yellow listAt the second level, the Mentors would be responsible for:

• Hand-holding / mentoring certain trainees (with minor issues) as allocated by the mentor champion

• Compiling the ‘Yellow List’• Maintaining F/COM/7203• The number of mentors would depend upon the

number of trainees (around 15-20% per center).

Third level / Red list:At the third level, the Mentor Champion would be responsible for:

• Mentoring certain trainees (with serious issues)• Compiling the ‘Red List’ • Maintaining F/COM/7204• The number of trainees in the ‘Red List’ could be

around 5% per center• Large centers could have more than one Mentor

Champion.

MIS:• The efficacy of mentoring will be monitored as

part of MIS (Management Information System)

• Monitored in terms of number of trainees in the Green, Yellow and Red lists and progressive changes.
