    The basic analyzer consists of a direct insertion type probe and aconverter that provides an analog output for control or monitoringpurposes. In addition a digital signal is superimposed on thecurrent output (HART) for optimization of maintenance. Theconverter controls also the (semi) automatic calibration when usedwith the calibration units.The detector and the converter are combined in one unit (ZR202)for simplified piping and wiring or the converter is mountedseparately (ZR402)Various accessories are available for optimal installation in difficultapplications ( dust filter, flame arrester, probe protector, hightemperature probe adapter, probe supporter) and for ease ofmaintenance and calibration.The analyzer is most commonly used to monitor the Oxygen levelin combustion air to allow optimal burner control to avoid airpollution and save energy. The direct insertion installation isespecially attractive from a maintenance point of view: samplingsystems are not required. The analyzer can also be used to monitor the Humidityconcentration at high temperatures in air with water as found inhumidifying processes like Bakeries or in indirectly heated dryers asfound in Paper machines.

    Standard specifications for use as HumidityAnalyzer

    Description : The Zirconia Oxygen analyzer can also beused to monitor the absolute humidity in anenvironment where standard air is mixedwith water vapor. Standard air consists of79% Nitrogen and 21% oxygen. If the air ismixed with Water vapor, the vol% ofoxygen decreases as the vol% of Waterincreases. The Zirconia based Oxygenanalyzer is therefore very useful as ananalyzer for moisture content of the samplegas. Both the ZR402 and the ZR202 canbe software switched from Oxygen analysisto Humidity analysis.

    Sample composition : The sample gas may only contain a mixtureof Oxygen, Nitrogen and Water.

    Performance : The performance specifications aredetermined by the primary measurement:the measurement of Oxygen. The possibleerrors in humidity units can be calculatedfrom the possible errors in the Oxygenanalysis.
