Vacuum?

• We used vacuum to clean the RICH prototype vessel before injecting pure Neon in 2007 and 2009

• Use an aluminum “hat” to make vacuum on both side of quartz windows

• After neon is in and stable, remove the hat and plug the disk with PMs (all PMs and sockets and cables already in)

• If the procedure is to be repeated: shift the PM disk by few cm WITHOUT dismounting or uncabling anything, put the hat, do the vacuum, put the neon, remove the hat, plug again the PM disk
