Home and Garden Show 12/14/12 General Rules and Conditions READ CAREFULLY. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to become familiar with all conditions to exhibit. Exhibitor will be responsible for all charges outlined in these general conditions. 1. GENERAL a. Exhibitors may have access to the facility after 8:00 a.m. on Friday. b. Exhibit space is marked with tape or crayon. You must stay within your assigned space. Stretching booths into aisles and other designated exhibit space is not allowed. c. Exhibitors are not to tamper with electrical panels, heater or cooler switches, lights or any other electrical device which is part of the fairgrounds. If an emergency occurs contact The Union Democrat or Mother Lode Fairgrounds personnel at the show. b. Exhibitors may not sublet or split their exhibit space. Each space is for the use of the business listed on the booth application. c. Parking is allowed in designated areas only. All traffic lanes must remain open for access to all buildings by emergency vehicles. Vehicles that are blocking traffic lanes will be towed away at the owner’s expense. d. All booths are to be staffed until the close of the show at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Taking booths down before the show is over is not allowed. e. Booths must be clear and vacated by 11:00 a.m. on Monday morning. f. All buildings are “Non-Smoking” facilities. g. Distribution of flyers on the fairgrounds, other than from inside a booth, is not allowed. h. There is no exclusivity to product or service implied by approval of your business to exhibit in the Home and Garden Show. The Union Democrat makes every effort to provide a variety of products and services to the public but makes no promise of exclusive rights to exhibit a product or service. 2. FIRE REGULATIONS & DECORATING a. Pursuant to State Fire Marshal regulations, ABSOLUTELY NO OPEN FLAME INSIDE THE BUILDINGS. All decorating materials must be flameproof. b. Vendor Parking is provided until the space is filled. Parking of oversized trucks or equipment within the exhibitor parking area is prohibited.

4. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS & FOOD OPERATIONS

a. If your event includes temporary food facilities as defined in the California Health and Safety Code (HSC) Section 113895, you will be required to contact the Tuolumne County Environmental Health Division to apply for the necessary permits to allow for such food operations. They can be contacted by calling 209-533-5633. The office is located at 48 West Yaney Street, Sonora, CA 95370 and is a division of the Tuolumne County Community Resources Agency. The mailing address is 2 South Green St., Sonora, CA 95370. All permit applications must be submitted and payment made to the Tuolumne County Environmental Health Division a minimum of two weeks prior to the show. Health permits are $51.25 for having no potentially hazardous food and $87.50 for potentially hazardous foods. Contact the health division if you have questions about hazardous vs. non-hazardous foods.

b. Food concessionaires must pay a $100 guaranty towards a 10% food concession fee to be paid directly to the fairgrounds. The fees for food operations are $100 or 10% of gross sales, whichever is greater. Food concessionaires must contact the Mother Lode Fairgrounds a minimum of two weeks prior to the show and pay the guaranty.

c. Food operations requiring an electrical hookup for heating or cooking will be charged a $25 hookup fee.

5. POOLS & SPASa. A charge of $50 per water-filled pool or spa will be billed. b. Water filled barrels are charged $10 each.

4. CAMPING AND RV PARKINGa. Camping is not available at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds during the show.

b. Parking of RV’s within the vendor or public parking areas is not permitted.The RV Dump station is closed during the Home and Garden Show.
