I grew up in Southern California and received my undergrad in Interpersonal

and Organizational Communication from California State University Long

Beach in 2011. I have always wanted to serve my country and I joined the

US Army Reserves as an Officer in 2012. The experiences and lessons I

learned in the military are traits that I carry over to TMS and beyond.

Outside of Toyota and military life, you can find me surfing, fishing or hunting.

Creating new memories and connections with people through the outdoors

is what really motivates me in my life. #workhardplayhard #outdoorsrule

While managing a career in both Toyota and the US Army Reserves, I

continue to progress a dynamic skill set that will greatly benefit any

organization who is seeking an organized and creative individual. I

am a firm believer that one can shine through his or her work. The

following work samples are a few key projects that I have managed

and created during my rotations within Toyota. All the examples are

not a complete representation of all that I have to offer but represent

a sample of projects that highlight key skills. The skills that are

showcased, highlight Excel, teamwork, presentation and analytical

abilities. #workinghard #skills #competencies

+ TFS MT Overview

Situation/Task: Management Trainees (MT) were receiving very little

to no information regarding Toyota Financial Services’ (TFS)

products and business models. During my rotation through the

Lexus Call Center, I found that customers would call in asking

about TFS products. My class as a whole would not know how to

respond or would regretfully offer incorrect information. Something

needed to fill in the gap of information in order to alleviate the

confusion. ? ?

?

Results: The informative document was forwarded to my current MT class and the Jan 2016 MT Class. The

document was received extremely well. MTs claimed the document was extremely beneficial and helpful,

especially those in the Call Center Rotations. This document will directly help increase customer satisfaction

levels by alleviating misinformation. The document was also adopted by the TFS GMA (Graduate Management

Associate) Program and is currently informing new GMAs within TFS.

Action: I created a four-page document in Microsoft Publisher that explained TFS business models and products.

The document was intended to be tailored to newly hired MTs but can also be easily substituted for any other new

hire seeking information on TFS.

+ LFS Simple Interest Brochure

Situation/Task: TFS/LFS marketing material can often

go without updates for many years and can

sometimes become irrelevant to current market

conditions. These assets are what the customer relies

on to make an informed decision when purchasing a

financial product. The LFS Simple Interest Brochure

had not been updated in close to a decade and was

in need of updated verbiage, design and simple

interest calculations.

Action: I created a new and improved LFS brochure

that explains simple interest. The brochure was

rewritten by myself and a new look was added

through collaboration with the design team. I used

excel to create a new amortization chart and the

calculations were updated to reflect current Lexus

prices and market conditions.

Results: Through teamwork with the designer, the

brochure was completed and is now nationally

available to be distributed to the dealerships. The new

brochure is both more aesthetically pleasing and

offers customers examples that reflect current market

conditions and Lexus prices.

+ Insignia Award Analysis

Situation/Task: Each year TFS awards dealers with the

Insignia Award, which recognizes dealers for superior

performance in selling TFS products. Some managers in

Marketing were concerned that some dealers were

giving away Toyota Auto Care (TAC) with a purchase of

a used vehicle. If a dealer was giving away TAC with

used vehicles, their total insurance volume would be

inflated and give them an unfair advantage to the

contest. I asked to review the standings and needed to

be prepared to present to the management team.

Action: I analyzed a data set of

the 2015 Insignia Award standings

to determine if the giveaway of

TAC products on used vehicle

sales has any correlation with

having an unfair advantage in the

contest. I created a new excel

spreadsheet and formulated a

page layout which listed the top

40 dealers in the contest and their

TAC sales.

Results: Through my descriptive

analysis and problem solving, I

was able to hypothesize that

certain dealers were receiving an

unfair advantage in the Insignia

Award contest. My findings will be

presented to the management

team in the TFS Marketing and

Brand department.

+ Travel Statistics Analysis

Situation/Task: TFS Marketing and Brand product budget

target has not increased in the last several years. A

majority of the budget is consumed by dealer

incentives and prizes, which consist of extravagant trips

to exotic locations. The bottom line is travel is expensive.

The Marketing and Brand Department needed an

executive summary showcasing how travel cost have

increased in the last decade in order to justify an

increase in budget to cover the costs of dealer

incentive trips.

Action: Through researching travel

trends through various travel

organizations, I was able to show

the correlation between lower fuel

price and rising ticket costs. My

descriptive analysis also covered

the dramatic world-wide increase in

hotel prices.

Results: My analysis was presented

to corporate managers and VPs.

While the budget was regretfully not

increased, my efforts were not

unnoticed and the management

team commended me on the

quality of work that was presented.

A key take away from this project

was all efforts may not end in

success but one must look at the

experience and skills honed while

working on a project.
