“Sometimes I feel I’m living a meaningless life, and I get frightened. I have no answers to anything. None. Actors live dependent on being validated by other people’s opinions, I don’t understand what it is I do that people want. Most actors on most days don’t think they’re worthy. I have no idea where this insecurity comes from, but it’s a God-sized hole. If I knew, I’d fill it, and I’d be on my way.”

“When we have really learned to know our individual corruption, then indeed we can go on to think of corporate guilt and can hardly think of it too much. But we must learn to walk before we can run.” C.S. Lewis, The Problem of Pain, page 49

 15 And I will put enmity        between you and the woman,        and between your offspring and hers;        he will crush your head,        and you will strike his heel."

You are doing the things your own father does."  "We are not illegitimate children," they protested. "The only Father we have is God himself."

 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. John 8:41-44

And I will put (hatred and hostility)        between you and your offspring.

Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world….. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) Ephesians 2:1-3

The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Matthew 1:23

For to us a child is born,        to us a son is given,        and the government will be on his shoulders.        And he will be called        Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,        Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace        there will be no end.        He will reign on David's throne        and over his kingdom,        establishing and upholding it        with justice and righteousness        from that time on and forever. Isaiah 9:6-7

"The LORD reigns."        The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved;  11 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;

       let the seas roar, and all that is in it;  12 let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them.        Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy;  13 they will sing before the LORD, for he comes,

       he comes to rule the earth.        He will judge the world in righteousness        and the peoples in his truth
