kind of training please be sure to invite them to par-ticipate. Georgetown Baptist is engaged in a “Baby Bottle Blessing” campaign through Father’s Day (June 20). Many of our members have taken a baby bottle home for several weeks to fill with coins, bills, and checks. All the money collected in this time will be used to assist the pregnancy center of Grayson County as they minister to young women who are struggling with the decision to maintain the life of their unborn babies. I hope you are involved in this worthy effort. If not, there are a few bottles re-maining in our foyer that you can pick up to partici-pate with us. So many opportuni-ties to serve. I hope you have your place of service. Give me a call if you need help finding that place. Serving = growing.
Like many churches in the country, June will be one of the busiest months of the year at Georgetown Baptist Church. We are excited to get to experience VBS, Kids Camp, and Youth Camp @ Mission Arlington. “EGYPT: Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Pal-ace” is the theme of Vacation Bible School this year. The story of Joseph in Genesis 37-50 is an amazing adventure of how God can bring a person out of a pit and use him in a mighty way in a palace. Jo-seph encountered overwhelm-ing obstacles in his life but God used those obstacles as stepping stones to one of the highest positions in the land of Egypt. As a result God’s peo-ple were blessed and protected by an advocate in high places. Would you like to have the opportunity to impact children’s lives? You can do that by volunteering to work in a number of different ca-pacities as we prepare for and
present VBS. Call Shelli at the church office and get involved in making the dif-ference in the life of many children. During VBS week (June 14-18) we are also offering an adult VBS. From 6:30 – 8:30 each eve-ning Jim Taylor will be leading a study titled Fam-ily Money Management God’s Way. In the eco-nomic times in which we live this study will be bene-ficial for all who want to follow God’s design for stewardship. I want to en-courage all who are not working with Kid’s VBS to take advantage of this train-ing opportunity. I do want to say that this course will be offered a later date for those who are serving in VBS. Since we need so many workers to pull off VBS for our children please make that your first prior-ity. Then you can take ad-vantage of this study at the alternate time that it is of-fered. If you know of some families that could use this

Calling all Cast… If you took home a costume following the Easter musical and have not returned it, please do so; we still have several cos-tumes out. Please return ASAP so they will be available for VBS costum-ing. Thank you!
Calendar Request… If you are planning an event that will take place at the church or you would like to place an event on the church cal-endar, please make contacting the church office your first step in the plan-ning process. Because we are an active church and have an awesome facil-ity, events are being planned that are conflicting with other events. By contacting the church office and completing a Facility/Calendar Request Form we can help eliminate this problem and can help your event be more successful. No event will be scheduled or publicized without having a Re-quest form approved. Even events that are not at the church but are aimed toward a church ministry should request a calendar date. Along with this, no sign-up sheet should be placed in foyer without prior approval of event. If you plan an event and plans change and the event is cancelled, please call the office to have that event removed from calendar so the fa-cility and the time will be available for others to utilize. If you would like your event to be one of our “End of Service” announcements, please con-tact the church by Tuesday afternoon prior to the Sunday you want your an-nouncement made. Our goal is to make every church event a success, but we need everyone’s cooperation to make this happen. If you have any questions please feel free to call the office.

My Dear Church Family, I want to thank you for all your prayers, hugs and cards. Phone calls, visits and every expression of caring during the time I have had to miss church. Thanks for my Deacons and their fami-lies. Thanks for Josh and the youth “you are my angels”. May God give you a special blessing. If you need a prayer chain please give me a call. In Christ Love -Mildred Miller Church Family, I am so incredibly blessed to have a group of people in my life that loves and sup-ports me like you all do. Jesus came into this world with all its problems, Dirtiness, disease and fear.
Listen to what He said –Jesus answered them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor-
sick people do. I have come to call sinners to turn from their sins, not spend time with those who think they are already good enough” Luke
5:31 NLT
He sends us into this same world, Hazardous as it may be, to be His hands and feet.

Summer 2010 Bible Study for Women Bible Study P.A.C.E. stands for Post Abortion Counseling and Education and is a Bible study designed to help women who may be struggling with their past decision to abort. It is led by women who have "been there", so they know what you may be going through. Often, women who have had this experience have no one to talk to that would understand and not judge them. As a result, they struggle with guilt and shame for many, many years. Our goal is to help you receive genuine and permanent healing of your post-abortive pain so that you can become the person God has created you to be. A new group will be starting soon. It meets once per week in the evening for about 8-10 weeks. Meeting place will be at a private residence. Call or email for specific location, days and times. Contact Kathy by email ([email protected]) or call (903-818-3173). Your call is completely confidential!
