Jo-Ann Capelaci and Geranium Homes began working together in the 1990’s. Geranium was one of Jo-Ann’s first new home builder clients.

Today, while she calls Los Angeles home, Jo-Ann remains a Southern Ontario girl at heart. So when the opportunity arose to rekindle her design relationship with Geranium Homes and their new Uptownes at Cardinal Point neighbourhood, Jo-Ann didn’t hesitate to say ‘yes’!

Passionate about her work, Jo-Ann is a Certified Interior Designer who understands that good design is discovering and implementing what Geranium Homes desires and their home buyers expect.

“When I first got a glimpse of the plans for the Gooderham Series and our two Uptownes models I knew then that we had an opportunity to create something that would showcase the craftsmanship of Geranium Homes, while demonstrating the exceptional lifestyle these townhomes could offer.”

Jo-Ann’s goal is to help Geranium purchasers get that “Model Home Look” in their home.

“With three interior levels, and a glorious rooftop terrace to consider, the first step was to plan the layouts of the furniture,” she explains. “In order to appeal to the broad range of tastes, four different illustrated inspiration boards were created, each demonstrating a unique design style.”

One of the biggest challenges facing homeowners today is finding enough storage space. Model S1 features a large closet, and Jo-Ann felt that adding a bulky dresser would take up too much floorspace. A simple, yet smart, storage design trick is to remove the lower mattress in the trundle bed. Once removed you’ll find that you have more than enough space for clothes, extra bedding, etc.
