Elliot Farmer gained a full time job following a work placement at Fordthorne, Elliot said:

Traineeship Apprenticeship

Your next steps will be achieving a level 1 qualification in your chosen route and gaining essential experience with an employer on an ACT placement*. You will also have the opportunity to achieve the Welsh Baccalaureate qualification, combining experiences and projects that will help equip you for work, further education and for life. * Training allowance payable of £50 per week (minimum) - full time hours.

Following successful completion of your placement, you may have the opportunity to become employed on an ACT Apprenticeship, achieving a level 2 or 3 qualification in your chosen route whilst earning a wage.

During your initial Traineeship Engagement* programme at ACT you will have a varied learning experience. As well as trying out your chosen practical skill you will follow a programme of exciting sessions and activities.

*All Traineeship Engagement programmes are part time with a training allowance payable of £30 per week.

• Vocational qualifications and NVQs in selected areas• A host of other qualifications and support to help you get a great start to your career • Placement with a top employer• Training allowance payable of £50 per week (minimum). £30 per week for the part time engagement programme.
