CATHOLIC HEALTH ASSOCIATE PARKING RAMP

It was with associate safety and convenience in mind,

that Catholic Health included a parking ramp facility for

approximately 900 vehicles in the scope of the Admin-

istrati ve and Regional Traning Center project.

We are pleased to be able to provide you with a mod-

ern, convenient, and safe place to park your vehicle

that is connected to the building by a covered walkway.

The expense of providing this facility, while important,

is signifi cant - at a cost of approximately $15,000 per

space. Ramp maintenance will be an ongoing expense.

The constructi on of the ramp would not have been

practi cal or prudent without a plan to miti gate these

expenses.

Parking fees, therefore are an economic reality for

Catholic Health. In the interest of fairness, as we assess

fees, we have developed an income-based fee struc-

ture to help proporti onally minimize the impact on

associates who have not previously had to pay to park.

A payroll deducti on feature is provided for associ-

ate parking fees. Fees will be deducted on a pre-tax

basis! Parking in the ramp is not mandatory, and

informati on about other parking opti ons is included

in this document.

Parking Fees apply to all associates who’s primary

offi ce is located in the facility AND who ELECT to

park in the ramp.

The rates are based on your total CHS W-2 reported

income as of December 31 each year. A mid-year

increase in income that changes your fee category

would not change your parking fee unti l the fi rst

pay period in February of the following year.

Parking rates are established on a three-year basis.

Every three years, management will examine the

rates to see if they remain adequate while minimiz-

ing potenti al impact on associates. The initi al rates

will be locked in for 3.5 years.

SECURITY

Associate security is a top priority. Facility Security

personnnel will be aided by more than 100 video

surveillance cameras inside and outside the building.

Additi onally, emergency call-boxes that link directly

to security will be located on every level of the ramp.

Emergency call-boxes will be clearly marked with a blue

light so they can be located quickly.

Associate access to the ramp will require a valid Catho-

lic Health Radio Frequency Device (RFD) ID Badge.

Your RFD Badge will acti vate the lift gate during normal

business hours as well as the Security Gates that will be

closed aft er regular business hours. Visitors will only be

able to access the ramp during regular business hours

unless Security provides access for authorized visitors.
