Medsolar is a newborn company that operates in
the field of renewable energies and particularly in
the production of photovoltaic modules.
Medsolar is located in the industrial area of
Salerno.
Salerno is a sunny town in the South of Italy,
natural site for the realization of large photovoltaic
installations thanks to its excellent solar irradiation.
There is also a fully equipped industrial port for
moving goods and raw materials. Furthermore in
Salerno is based the famous DEIE ( Department of
Electrical and Information Engineering) of the
University of Salerno, one of the most leader in
Italy in the research in the photovolatic field.
4
Medsolar owns the entire lot area
that measures about 100.000 m2 of
which 30.000 m2 are today covered
and used. In 2012, 15.000 m2 of the
remaining 70.000 m2 will be covered
and equipped according to the
factory enlargement.
The total plant surface is of about
25.000 m2 (production area), while
the administrative and the
commercial buildings are about 2.400
m2.
5
Medsolar is currently producing photovoltaic
modules made of mono and polycristralline
cells with a production capacity of 50 MW per
year.
Medsolar has a line up installation composed of
the best technologies available on the market
for the modules manufacture:
•Glass Washing Machine from Triulzi; •Stringer Rapid Two from Somont;•Laminator of New Generation from 3S;•Conveyor systems from Rimas;•Solar Simulator from Pasan.

Medsolar project started with an idea by Meridie, the first Investment Company set up to promote the development and growth of SME in Southern Italy by offering them strategic finance consultancy. Medsolar, 100% owned by Meridie, is founded on solid basis and can rely on its vast and well-tried experience of management in the technical and economic financial fields.
