With a mission to inspire all girls to be Strong, Smart & Bold, Girls Inc. of Metro Denver makes a lasting difference for thousands of girls in our community each year.

The girls who come to Girls Inc. of Metro Denver are of many ages, ethnicities, income levels, and abilities. From elementary school through high school graduation, girls are met at a critical crossroads of their development and are offered a support system to navigate an array of educational, economic, health, and social issues.

Through life-changing programs and horizon-expanding experiences, our girls break past barriers, have opportunities to develop their full potential, and go on to lead healthy, educated, and successful lives.

The Year In Review

Letter from the President

Each year at Girls Inc. of Metro Denver thousands of girls participate in programs that help them to break past barriers, build skills and confidence, take on new challenges, and envision a bright and fulfilling future for themselves and the girls around them.

In fiscal year 2012 (Sept 1, 2011-Aug 31, 2012), Girls Inc. of Metro Denver began implementing plans to expand services and build capacity. In addition to serving over 2,000 girls, we have: developed partnerships to serve additional neighborhoods, increased leadership opportunities for teen girls, strengthened program evaluation, and broadened community engagement efforts.

Girls Inc. of Metro Denver’s impact is fueled by the strong leadership of our Board of Directors, a professional and compassionate staff team, committed community partners, and caring volunteers. The trust and investment of our funders and donors is also central to our success and a catalyst for future growth.

Your support, whether through financial contributions, volunteer time, advocacy, or encouragement, helps to ensure that the girls

in our community grow up to be Strong, Smart & Bold! Thank you for joining us as a generous

partner in this work and thank you for believing in the potential of every girl we serve!

In Gratitude,

Sonya Ulibarri | President & CEO
