Plan Review Requirement

A building permit is required to erect, construct, alter, remove, or demolish any building or structure (includes fences, retaining walls, and swimming pools).

Most building permits requires plans, showing the proposed work, be submitted and reviewed by qualified staff.

Four (4) sets of project plans are required for new construction.

Plan Review ProcessApplicant submits plans.Depending on the type

of work, plans are routed to various plans checkers, both within and outside of DPP.

Each plans checker either approves plans as is, or makes markups on plans for corrections.

Applicant must show comments have been addressed and submit revised plans.
