GIVING THE DEVIL HIS DUE

Realize: The Devil Is A Liar, Delighting In Deceit

The devil “…was a murder from the beginning -- not holding to the truth -- for there is no truth in him. When he lies he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies…” (John 8:44)

Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding…”

Isaiah 43:1 - “…Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine…”

“…greater is He that is in you - than he that is in the world…” – 1 John 4:4.

Jesus is a “…merciful and faithful high priest… [who makes] atonement for the sins of the people…” (Hebrews 2:17)

Why Hebrews 2 notes: Jesus suffers (Hebrews2:10),

sharing in our “….humanity, [even dying] -- so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is the devil and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death…”

(Hebrews 2:14-15)

Comprehend The Greatness Of God And

God’s Salvation!

God always comes through!

For God is the author of all

“…for whom and through whom everything exists…” (Hebrews 2:10).

And so in the words of Hebrews 2:3 – we will never escape the ‘same old same old’; the drudgery and sin of life – “…if we ignore such a great salvation…first announced by the Lord” (Hebrews 2:3)

God wants us caught up in liberating salvation – as God brings His “…sons [and daughters] to [everlasting -- tremendous] glory…”

(Hebrews 2:10)

– through the life-saving work -- and rescue -- of Jesus.

Run to the lion of Judah! For “…the Lion…of Judah, the Root of David has triumphed…” (Revelation 5:5)
