    New Chapter Ofcers

    The chapter elected new ofcers for the spring and fall 2012

    semesters during the last few weeks. The following is a list of the new

    Alumni, current chapter members, friends, and a dog gather in front of the

    chapter house for a group photo during the tailgate before the football game at

    Homecoming. More than 100 alumni brothers visited the chapter house during

    Homecoming weekend.

    Brother Brad Kenning grew upin Ballwin, Mo., and graduated fromParkway West High School in 2009.He joined Lambda Chi after hearingfrom one of his roommates about thegenuineness of the members and the

    chapters success in sports. After arecruitment dinner and a couple daysof hanging around the house I washooked, he says. It was a place Ireally felt like I belonged, and I couldfeel the true brotherhood all around.

    He says some of his favorite andmost meaningful memories in Lambda

    Chi are eventshis associatemember classtook part in,and winningGreek Week

    last year. Allof our effortscreated ani n c r e d i b l eresult, one thatI will always

    remember, he says. He adds thatinitiation and the Homecoming 2010

    football victory against Oklahomaare his most memorable collegeexperiences so far.

    Brad is currently the High Rho(alumni chairman) for the chapterHe is a mass communications major

    and will graduate from Mizzou in fall2012 or spring 2013. After collegehe plans to write advertisements andcommercials. He says he plans tostay involved in Lambda Chi aftergraduation. I really look forward tocoming back and seeing how muchour chapter has changed.

    Brother Mark Melvingrew up in Chestereld, Mo.,and graduated from ParkwayCentral High School. Hisolder brother was a memberof Lambda Chi at Central

    Missouri State, and stressedthe importance of joining afraternity that didnt haze.This, in addition to othermembers hailing fromParkway Central, led himto join Lambda Chi as well. He wassigned by Kevin Gralen, and his bigbrother was Dan Badock. Dan andI still see each other on a regularbasis, he reports.

    He says a memorable event for hisassociate member class was a walkout

    to New Orleans when 46 guys snuckinto two hotel rooms. I think I slept

    in the bathtub, he says. A memorableevent from his Mizzou experiencewas lighting Sigma Phi Epsilonsrock on re with Jim Williams, usingbath towels soaked in gasoline. Jimsleft tennis shoe was on re as we ranacross the street into our house, underhot pursuit, he says. We then barged

    into the living room to seek coveronly to nd ourselves in the middle of

    an associate meeting.While in the chapter

    Mark served as St. Louis rushchairman and vice presidentHe graduated in 1986 with aBSBA in marketing.

    Mark works for McCannConcrete Products, Inc., inIllinois and lives in Townand Country, Mo. He met hiswife at a Watermelon Festqueen candidate dinner at

    the chapter house and they have beenmarried for 22 years. They have adaughter, Catherine, and a son, Billywho is a freshman at Mizzou and anAM this semester at Lambda ChiHe says that Billy makes ve familymembers who have joined Lambda

    Chi, and that they are all hoping toattend initiation in early 2012.
