GK alum Neil Stanglein has beenselected by Lambda Chi nationalsto serve as a master steward, aneducational role that will chargehim with developing and promotingprogramming in the fraternitys TrueBrother initiative.

According to nationals, Theprimary purpose of a Master Stewardis to support Lambda Chi Alphathrough involvement with the TRUEBrother Initiative and Lambda ChiAlphas educational curriculum.The focus of this position isthe endorsement, stewardship,advancement, and support LambdaChi Alpha as the co-curricular leaderin the Greek movement through the

education and development of ourundergraduate brothers and alumnivolunteers.

As a Master Steward, Neil will befacilitating at the Stead LeadershipSeminar in Memphis in July.

He serves on the alumni advisory

board at the Alpha-Chi Zeta chapterat the University of Richmond and isa past advisor, housing corp memberand alumni association ofcer forGamma-Kappa (and a FoundingFather from rechartering). Hegraduated in 2006 with a Bachelorof Journalism and in 2009 with aMaster of Education.

Neil is Coordinator for Fraternityand Sorority Life at Virginia

Commonwealth University inRichmond, Va. He also volunteersfor Delta Zeta Sorority, Sigma KappaSorority and Sigma Phi EpsilonFraternity. He serves as a memberof the Association of FraternalLeadership and Values Connections

magazine editorial board as anAssessment and Awards Judge. Hehas developed a curriculum for andlead the James Madison UniversityGreek Leaders Institute and hasled programs at Central MichiganUniversity, Lehigh UniversityRoanoke College, St. FrancisUniversity, Tidewater CommunityCollege and University of Alabama-Birmingham.

GK alum to be installed as LXA Master Steward

Brother Joe Ebeling grew up inChestereld, Mo. He later moved toOFallon, Mo. and graduated fromFt. Zumwalt South.

Joe says he joinedLambda Chi becausehis sister was datinga member of thechapter, and he wasshown the houseand loved it.

About his associatemember semester,Joe says he most remembers the hardwork he and his fellow AMs put intoHomecoming, including house decs.

House decs epitomized ourclass, he says.

So far at Mizzou, he says hismost memorable moment is theHomecoming football game hisfreshman year when the football

team beat Oklahoma and thecelebration afterward.Joe currently serves as the chapters

High Phi (ritualist) and on theexecutive committee for the StudentHealth Advisory Council. He willgraduate in May 2014 with a pre-meddegree in biology. He wants to go tomedical school after he graduates.

Joes favorite baseball team is theSt. Louis Cardinals.

I get unhealthily angry when theCardinals lose in the playoffs, he says.

He says he joined Lambda Chibe cause both of his parents wereGreek so he knew he wanted to joina chapter.

I was rushing a few differenthouses but after having lunchwith the Recruitment Chair, Evan

Ericson, and Billy Eckelkamp,I knew I wanted to join. Theydescribed the membership correctly as a bunch of guyswho had good grades, were goodathletes, were serious about havingcareers, but always wanted to havefun. That is what I was lookingfor.

Evan was also his big brother.Anyone who knows Evan knowsI got really lucky to have him bringme into the house and also be my

big brother, Mike says.When asked what he most

remembers about your associatemember class, he says, Initiationweek. Enough said.

He says his most memorablemoments at Mizzou are FrozenLuau 2004 (the rst year we had it)and being elected chapter president.

Mike served as High Delta(recruitment chairman) in 2004 andHigh Alpha (president) in 2005.

On campus, he served as the GreekLife Judicial Board Chairman in2006.

Mike graduated in 2007 with adegree in journalism. He graduatedlaw school and business school in2011. He lives in Columbia andworks for Polsinelli Shughart, anational law rm, in the JeffersonCity ofce in the Public Policygroup.

I married my best friendMackenzie this past June. We havetwo dogs, Abbey and Sarge, hesays. Mackenzie works for Mizzouin Human Resources and is alsopursuing her MBA. Abbey andSarge do their best to do as little aspossible.

In Mikes words...I dont throw around thisword a lot but I was trulyblessed to be a part of the

house. The best man inmy wedding, Matt Lumpkinand two groomsmen,Kolby and Kogan Lee, arefraternity brothers. One ofour ushers, John Minton,is as well. When you getmarried you want to makesure you surround yourselfwith the people that matterto you most. I was blessedto be able to do that withLambda Chis.
