Keyboarding Connections

Applications Review, Part 1

Page 2: Gkc App Review

What is the place called where your hands go to begin and where

they return when they move around?

Page 3: Gkc App Review

The Home Row

Keep your fingers on their assigned home row keys. Fingers should be slightly curved with the pad of the finger

square on each key.

Page 4: Gkc App Review

Know what fingers are used to type each key without

looking.

How should your elbows be when you type?

Page 6: Gkc App Review

If your elbows are correctly next to your side your fingers then have a more consistent "platform" from which to reach out and strike the key. If your elbows are not close to your sides, this places a "twist" on your wrists which makes you tired.

When keying data, your wrists should be sloping upward, at the same slope as the

keyboard.

Do not allow your wrists to become "lazy.” Do NOT let your wrists rest on the desktop. This

transfer the additional "workload" to your fingers.

How many times do you press the space bar after a period at

the end of a sentence? If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but

have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

Only 1 space

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
