GLAMOUR HELP US IDENTIFY YOUR CAMPUS LEADERS GLAMOUR's 2008 TOP 10 COLLEGE WOMEN COMPETITION GLAMOUR is pleased to invite your students to apply to our 2008 Top 10 College Women Competition. This competition recognizes the exceptional achievements and academic excellence of female college juniors (third-years) from the United States and Canada. It's an ideal opportunity for talented students to be rewarded for their leadership roles on campus and in the greater community. It is also an opportunity to spotlight your college or university. We depend on college and university administrators to help identify accomplished third- year women, and we hope that you will encourage your most promising students to apply. Winners receive $3,000, coverage in our June 2008 issue, and the opportunity to meet with female professionals in their field, usually during a trip to New York City, where the winners will also meet one another. We've enclosed posters to place on bulletin boards or anywhere you think your students will see them. There are several applications, which we kindly ask that you distribute at your discretion. We accept photocopied application~ as well. Students may also contact us directly for an application, either bye-mail ([email protected]), by fax (212-286- 6922), or by logging on to www.glamour.com/news/toplOcollegewomen. Applications must be received by November 30, 2007. If you would like additional posters, please let us know and we will mail them to you. Eligibility:Any woman who is CURRENTLY A FULL-TIME JUNIOR

at an accredited college or university in the United

States or Canada for the 2007-2008 academic year iseligible to enter. Student athletes. see rules below.

Judging and notification:A panel of judges will evaluate candidates

based on leadership experience,personal involvement in community and

campus affairs. and academic excellence.

Winners will be notified by March 30. 2008.

Each entry must include:Completed application form (photocopies acceptable)

An offidal college transcript (may be mailed separately)

A list. by year. of your activities on and off campus:

include names of activities and organizations and briefly

describe your responsibilities and contributions.

A 500- to 700-word essay describing your mostmeaningful achievements and how they relate to your field

of study and future goals

A black-and-white or color photograph, no larger than8"x10" (for identification purposes only)

At least two letters of recommendation

(may be mailed separately)

Entries may include slides.CDs.videotapes or samples ofyour work. Also enclose any relevant newspaperclippings or describe local recognition received in

newspapers. on radio or television, etc. Label photo(s)and enclosures with your name and school.

the event a potential winner can't be contacted or doesn't respond w~ln

14 days. an alternate winner may be selected. All decisions of the judges

are final. Income and other taxes, if any. are the sole responsibility of the

winner. Winners will be chosen on or about March 30, 2008. Each winner

receives $3,000, a three-night trip to New York, including round-trip coach

airfare from the major airport nearest her home. Approximate retail value of

the prize is $4,500. depending on the exact itinerary. Winner must be able

to travel to New York on the date determined by GLAMOUR or an alternate

winner may be selected. Prize is not transferable. No substitutions for prize

except by sponsor in which a prize of equal or greater value will be substi-

tuted. Except when prohib~ed: (i) acceptance of prize constitutes consent

to use winner's name, likeness and winning entry for edrorial, advertising and

publlc~ purposes, without further compensation: (ii)winner may be required

to sign an affidavit of ellglbil~ and liabll~/public~/permisslon release; and

(iii) winner may be required to execute release of sponsor from any and all

Ilabil~ w~ respect to participation in the contest and/or use of the prize.

Affidav~ and releases must be returned w~in 14 days of attempted notifi-
