Dear Parents
Shades of Blue Glenmore Park Public School has purchased two sets of Rugby League jumpers for our teams in 2011. We are very grateful to Jon Austin from Shades Painting and Decorating who generously paid for the 30 jumpers. All the boys were excited to wear the new outfit at PSSA sport last Friday. The juniors won convincingly 30‐16 vs Cambridge Park and the seniors were very unlucky against Werrington losing 16‐22.

ANZAC Ceremony
Last term our Captains and Prefects conducted our Annual ANZAC Ceremony. Our whole school were involved in remembering the purpose of ANZAC. Our Guest speaker is pictured here with the Captains and Prefects and the students who helped lay our wreaths. Our wreaths were later delivered to the memorial outside Memory Park in Penrith. Thankyou to all our parents and service people who attended our ceremony.
INTERACTIVE WHITE BOARDS INSTALLED IN NEW CLASSROOMS
If you wondered why 2H, 4W, 5L & 3R are smiling it might be because they have had a new IWB installed in their classroom over the last holidays. The students are excited as they now have not only a new classroom but also an interactive whiteboard. This was installed by the NSW State government with left over money from the BER
project.

LATE TO SCHOOL A reminder to all parents students who are late—after 9 am need a late note from the office. Your assistance is required to ensure students are on time to school. Mornings are the optimum learning time in all classrooms and students like to feel a part of the group and not miss out on this valuable learning time. “Children can’t learn if they are not there”. Late 10 minutes a day = 10 school days a year. Thank you for your support. Michelle Collins Michelle Collins PRINCIPAL

100 YEARS AGO Sometimes I just sit there and wonder what it was like a hundred years ago? Did cave men ride on dinosaurs? Did giant spiders rule the Earth? Were deserts filled with snow? We don’t have a book so we think. By Aleks in 2D
