The customer’s supply chain is based around a warehouse located in Sweden. Strong emphasis was put on punctual deliveries with minimum damages, in order to match the competion’s level of service.
Home delivery concept needed to be established
DB Schenker provides a consistent goods flow to Finland, including value-added services:

The customer needed cost-effective and high-quality distribution to retail customers in Denmark.
The supply chain for the Danish market was based around a warehouse in Denmark. The production site is located in Norway.
The supply chain was not cost effective and productive as it stood.
High-quality and cost-efficient logistics
The customer was able to shut down the warehouse in Denmark.
The overall logistics costs were reduced.
The transit time was unchanged, even without the local warehouse
The customer is satisfied with the EDI setup and distribution quality.
DB Schenker Norway provided transportation from the production site in Norway directly to the Danish consignee.
Linehaul shipments to a Danish terminal for cross-docking and direct distribution.
