My Name is Shaun Baron. I am an employee of Contact North. The World’s largest Distance Education network.

But, ladies and gentlemen, more importantly, today I want to challenge you, like we are being challenged.
We are being called to imagine and to build an Ontario that will harness the diversity, the talents and economic potential of all our people – and I want to talk about that.

Ontario’s Building BlocksOnline learning in Ontario’s post-secondary system is built on a foundation of six building blocks that can be leveraged to help build the 21st century post-secondary system.
Ontario’s colleges and universities play a leadership role in that Ontario currently leads all Canadian jurisdictions in terms of the number and range of online (synchronous, asynchronous, blended) programs and courses available to students.
This is a key building block in the 21st century post-secondary system.

In 2010, Ontario is..
Calling on its educational
institutions and partners to take
online learning to the next level…
A call to action and a call to lead
![Page 14: Global awards presentation 4](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022062613/54558ae4af7959a0278b94b2/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
Imagine Ontario 2015..
4,500 – 5,000 additional students
studying online from home, work,
community, college or university in quality courses that are highly
engaging
![Page 15: Global awards presentation 4](https://reader035.vdocument.in/reader035/viewer/2022062613/54558ae4af7959a0278b94b2/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
Imagine Ontario 2015..

to a college certificate or a

through online learning at many
Ontario institutions.
