DESCRIPTION

There is an inverse relationship between the ease with which content is created and distributed and its inherent value. It's a myth that the social web is characterized by democratization and participation. Few people are creating new content. Our current social networking tools are focused on liking, sharing, upvoting and repinning existing content. We have reached terminal content velocity -- the point at which we have too many pieces of suggested content to read or make sense of any of them. We are over-curated and over saturated with non-information.
