We see a world full of young people who are drivers of social change. Global Platforms provide innovative trainings and capacity development for young people to lead social, political and economic change around the world.

We support civil society organisations and social movements with planning and carrying out youth-led initiatives such as campaigns, advocacy and mobilization. Together with you, our international team of experienced trainers will develop unique trainings that are guaranteed to deliver on your organisation’s objectives.

26 year old Daniel Orogo participated in a Social Media training at Global Platform Nairobi. Together with the other participants, Daniel developed a campaign against an illegal demolition of houses in the Kibera slum in Nairobi.

The viral campaign resulted in the presentationof a petition to the responsible Member of Parliament, ultimately stopping the demolitions and ensuring compensation for the displaced families.

In the few months following the Global Platform trainings, VSO is already seeing evidence of impact, including young people raising awareness of human rights on radio in Nepal, youth-led community sanitation activities in Bangladesh and replication of different training elements.

Working with the Global Platform has brought a new cultural and artistic approach to our work with advocacy and mobilising - and the best is that it is coming from the youth.
