GLOBAL ITV enables the coexistence of interactive TV systems, in particular HbbTV and Ginga, in di�erent broadcast systems and proposesHTML5 as future basis for a truly global interactive TV standard.

GLOBAL ITV highlights the bene�ts of enabling the coexistence of di�erent interactive TV systems and the evolution towards a common system for broadcasters, content creators, and consumers.

Sharing experiences gained in the di�erent, yet similar BR and EU digital interactive TV landscapes and exploiting this shared knowledge in the creation of future systems, and establishing expert networks for tackling future challenges.

GLOBAL ITV delivers solutions, speci�cations and prototypes that allow the exchange of interactive TV media content in the global market.
