About the Partners

The Gloria Burt Sacramento Region Arts Fellowship is supported by

the Sacramento Region Arts & Business Council administered by

Blue Line Arts, which promotes partnerships among the business

community, artists and arts organizations in the counties of El Dorado,

Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba.

The Sacramento Region Community Foundation focuses on

expanding opportunity through focused leadership and advocacy that

inspire partnerships and expand giving. The Gloria Burt Sacramento

Region Arts Fellowship reflects the Foundation’s core strategic values

and commitment to support and help foster a thriving cultural

community in the Sacramento region.

About the Partners

The Arts & Business Council of the Sacramento Region's mission is to promote partnerships between the business community and arts organizations in order to enhance the economy and enrich the quality of life in the Sacramento region.

Bridging communities, inspiring connections to commerce and

telling our stories

• Fellowship will provide at least one annual award to support emerging and/or established artists in the exploration and creation of new works

• Artists develop professionally, which result in advances in new avenues of creativity, production and distribution of new and higher-quality work that is skillful, original and increasingly recognized locally, nationally and internationally as exemplary.

• Foster dynamic collaborations between artists, individuals, and local businesses to support emerging and/or professional artists grow and gain visibility in the region.

Fellowship Goals

• Promote partnerships between the business community and arts organizations and provide artists an opportunity to create or expand on fruitful interchanges between their work and a business or business group.

Eligible Disciplines

Applicants must be eighteen years old at the time of the

application deadline, July 17, 2017, and must also be a

resident of the Greater Sacramento Region in one of

these counties:

• El Dorado

• Placer

• Sacramento

• Sutter

• Yolo

• Yuba

Eligibility Requirements and Restrictions

• Applicants cannot be enrolled in a degree seeking program

of any kind at the time of the application deadline and/or

be an employee, board member or an immediate family

member of any of the fellowship partners.

• Applicants must have a partner that is a business

committed to a developing vision, idea, instillation or

creation of work.

Eligibility Requirements and Restrictions

Grant Amount

Allowable Project Expenses - Supplies, rental/purchase of equipment,

facility rental, marketing/publicity/promotion, travel/transport within the

United States, insurance, fabrication/presentation costs, artist

fee/stipend, consultants, workshops/training that further career

development

Individuals may request up to $10,000

Budget

• 6/5 – Application Materials Released

• 7/17 at 12:00PM PDT – Submission Deadline

• Week of 8/28 PDT – Applicant Notifications
