1. Pin and sew white kite shape to green #2 trapezoid shape as shown. Press seam to green. Make 72 white/green units.

2. Pin and sew green #1 trapezoid shape to white/green unit as shown. Press seam to white. Make 72 white/green/green units.

3. Pin and sew blue #2 and blue #1 shape to white/green/green unit as shown. Press seam to blue #2 and green #1. Make 72 white/greens/blues units.

4. Pin and sew pink #2 and pink #1 triangle shape to white/greens/blues/ unit as shown. Press seam to pink #2 and blue #1. Make 72 half block unit.

Assemble the Quilt Top:

1. Lay out blocks in six rows of six, rotating blocks as shown. Sew the horizontal rows. Press seams to one side.

2. Pin and sew horizontal rows together. Press seam to one side.

3. Measure quilt from top to bottom. Cut 2 green plaid strips to that length and sew to right and left side of quilt top. Press to green plaid.

4. Measure quilt from left to right. Cut 2 green plaid strips to that length and sew to top and bottom of quilt top. Press to green plaid.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 with white floral for outer border. Press to outer border.

Quilt Finishing:

1. Layer quilt top, batting and backing. 2. Pin or baste layers together. 3. Quilt as desired. 4. Add binding, mitering corners.

Make Block A

1. Select one floral print A and one floral print B 4½" finished signature block (Shape 10), plus two medium pink 2¼" finished half square triangles (HSTs) (Shape 5) for each Center Unit A. Arrange the patches as shown. Join one HST to an adjacent short edge of each signature block. Join the signature block/HST sections together, matching seams. Press the seam open. Make a total of 20 of Center Unit A.

2. Select one white and one medium light pink print chisel (Shape 9), one dark pink polka dot parallelogram (Shape 7), and one dark pink polka dot 2¼" finished HST (Shape 5). Arrange the patches as shown. Join the parallelogram to the medium light pink chisel along the adjacent edge. Be sure to line up the parallelogram with the dog eared corner on the chisel. Press the seam open. Join the white chisel, and then the HST to the upper edge of the sewn unit, and press the seams open. Make a total of 20 of Triangle Unit A.

3. Select one white and one medium pink polka dot print chisel (Shape 9), one dark pink polka dot parallelogram (Shape 7), and one dark pink polka dot 2¼" finished HST (Shape 5). Arrange the patches as shown. Join the parallelogram to the medium pink polka dot print chisel along the adjacent edge. Be sure to line up the parallelogram with the dog eared corner on the chisel. Press the seams open. Join the white chisel, and then the HST to the right edge of the sewn unit, and press the seams open. Make a total of 20 of Triangle Unit B.

4. Arrange one Center Unit A, one Triangle Unit A, and one Triangle Unit B as shown. Sew each triangle unit to one long edge of the center unit, matching seams. Press the seams open. Repeat to make 20 Quarter Block A units.

5. Arrange four Quarter Block A units in two rows of two units each as shown. Join the units in each row together along adjacent edges, matching seams. Press the seam open. Join the two rows together, matching seams. Press the seam open. Make a total of 5 A Blocks.

Make Block B

1. Select two floral print A 4½" finished signature blocks (Shape 10) and two medium pink 2¼" finished HSTs (Shape 5) for each Center Unit B. Arrange the patches as shown. Join one HST to an adjacent short edge of each signature block. Join the signature block/HST sections together, matching seams. Press the seam open. Make a total of 16 of Center Unit B.

2. Repeat step 2 of “Make Block A”, using one white and one light paisley print chisel (Shape 9), one dark pink polka dot parallelogram (Shape 7), and one dark pink polka dot 2¼" finished HST (Shape 5), to make 16 of Triangle Unit C.

3. Repeat step 3 of “Make Block A”, using one white and one light abstract print chisel (Shape 9), one dark pink polka dot parallelogram (Shape 7), and one dark pink polka dot 2¼" finished HST (Shape 5), to make 16 of Triangle Unit D.

4. Arrange one Center Unit B, one Triangle Unit C, and one Triangle Unit D as shown. Sew each triangle unit to one long edge of the center unit, matching seams. Press the seams open. Repeat to make 16 Quarter Block B units.

5. Repeat step 5 of “Make Block A”, using four Quarter Block B units. Make a total of 4 B Blocks.

Assemble the Quilt Top

1. Referring to the quilt image below, arrange the blocks into three rows of three blocks each, alternating A and B blocks in each row. Join the blocks in each row along adjacent edges, matching seamlines. Press the seams open.

2. Join the rows together along adjacent edges, matching seamlines. Press the seams open or in one direction.

Finishing and Quilting

1. Layer the batting between the quilt top and backing, with the wrong sides facing the batting. Pin or baste the layers together. Quilt as desired.

2. Trim the batting and backing even with the quilt top edges.

3. Sew the binding strips together along the short ends, using either straight or diagonal seams. Press the strip in half lengthwise, with wrong sides together. Stitch the binding to the quilt front, matching raw edges and mitering corners. Fold the binding to the quilt back, encasing the raw edges. Hand stitch the binding to the quilt back.

4. Sew 2—1½" finished HSTs from Step 3 together as shown

to make one 2" x 3½" rectangle. Press seams toward aqua triangle. Make 72 units.

5. Sew two matching units from Step 4 together to make a 3½" unfinished pinwheel. Press the seams towards the aqua HST and spin the center points on the back. Make 36 units.

6. Sew one white 2" x 3½" rectangle to opposite sides of

pinwheel from Step 5 as shown to make one 3½" x 6½" unfinished rectangles. Press seams toward rectangles. Make 36 units.

7. Sew one unit from Step 2 to opposite sides of one unit from

Step 6 as shown to make one 6½" unfinished block. Press seams open. Make 36 blocks from a variety of Charm Pack HSTs.

Assemble the Quilt Top

1. Lay out blocks in six rows of six adding sashing and cornerstones as shown. Sew the horizontal rows first. Press seams toward the sashing. Pin and sew rows together. Pressing seams towards the sashing.

2. Add 3½" borders to quilt center. Sewing to right and left side first. Press seams towards borders. Then add top and bottom borders. Press toward borders.

• Cut 128—41⁄2" equilateral triangles

Binding Fabric:

• Cut 7—21⁄2" x width of fabric (WOF) strips

SEWING DIRECTIONS 1. Lay out two, Fabric #2 Triangles and one,

Fabric #1 Hexagon as shown. Sew together and press towards the Triangles.

2. Repeat previous step to make a total of 60 Units.

3. Lay out seven, pieced Hexagon Units as shown. Sew together and press seams in opposite directions.

4. Sew one extra, Equilateral Triangle to the lower left end of the row, and on to the upper right end of the row.

5. Make a total of four, Row #1.

6. Lay out eight, pieced Hexagon Units as shown. Sew together and press seams in opposite directions. Make a total of four, Row #2.

7. Lay out rows alternating between Row #1 and Row #2, offsetting Row #2 by half a block.

8. Sew rows together pressing seams in the same direction.

9. Trim quilt top sides even.

QUILTING AND FINISHING 1. Layer quilt top with batting and backing.

2. Pin or baste layers together.

3. Model was custom machine quilted.

4. Add binding, mitering the corners.

1. Sew one layer cake fabric and one white 2" finished half square triangle (HST) (Shape 5) on either side of the green #1 quarter square triangle (QST) (Shape 4) to form a flying geese unit as shown. Be sure the layer cake fabric is on the right short side of the QST. Press seams toward the HSTs. Make 64 flying geese units measuring 2½" x 4½".

2. Sew one white rectangle (Shape 8) to long green edge of flying geese unit from Step 1. Press seam toward rectangle. Unit will measure 4½" square. Make 64 square units.

3. Sew one white 2" finished HST (Shape 5) onto one layer cake fabric chisel (Shape 9) as shown. Press seams towards chisel. Make 64 chisel units measuring 2½" x 4½".

4. Lay out two units from Step 2 and one chisel as shown keeping flower petal colors together. Sew together pressing towards the chisel. Unit will measure 4½" x 10½". Make 2 of each colorway. Make 16 pairs.

5. Lay out two matching chisel units and one 2½" square as shown and sew together. Press seams toward chisel. Unit will measure 2½" x 10½". Make 16 pairs.

6. Lay out two matching units from Step 4 and Step 5 as shown. Sew together. Press seams open. Block will measure 10½" x 10½". Make 16 blocks.

Assemble the Quilt Top

1. Lay out blocks in 4 rows of 4 blocks as shown. Sew the horizontal rows together first. Press rows 1 and 3 to the right and rows 2 and 4 to the left. The rows will then nest perfectly when sewn together.

2. Measure quilt top and add the green #2 inner border to right and left side first. Measure again and add green #2 inner border to top and bottom. Press to inner border.

3. Measure the quilt center in 3 places and

then take the average measurement and cut 4 strips that length from the 4½" outer border pieces. Sew two of them to opposite sides of the quilt top. Press to the outer border.

4. Sew the green #2 fabric 4" finished

HSTs (Shape 1) to each end of the remaining two white 4½" border strips from Step 3. Press to white border. Sew to remaining opposite sides of quilt top. Press to the outer border.
