Word Assignment: Setting Goals

Type in My Goals and click OK.

Center the Word Art by clicking on it and pressing the control and E keys at the same time. [Ctrl] + [E]

5. Choose a design for your table. Under Table Tools, Click Design. Click on the design you prefer.

6. Type in your goal chart / plan that you wrote in class. Use bullets for your list.

Make the headings bold by selecting them and clicking the B on the home tab (Short-Term Goals, Mid-Term Goals, Long-Term Goals, How will I achieve the goal?, When will I achieve the goal?).

7. Insert a clip art image at the bottom of the page. Click Insert and choose Clip Art.

In the panel that appears, type in a keyword that symbolizes one of your goals and click Go.Click on an image you like to make it appear under your table. Resize it to make it fit on your page by dragging from one corner. Center the clip art image. [Ctrl] + [E]

8. Select all the text on your page and change the font (letter style) and size to 12 point. Press the control key and the A key at the same time. [Ctrl] + [A] On the home tab, click the small arrow next to the font names to see all. Click on the font you prefer.

Click on the arrow next to the font size to make it 12 point.

Then spell check your document. Click the Review tab and ABC.

9. Insert a page border. Click on the Page Layout tab.

Under the Page Border tab, you can scroll down to see different styles of borders or you can choose an art border. Then, make sure that under “Apply to,” you see “whole document.” Then click OK.

10. Print preview your document. Click the Office button and choose Print Preview.

If your document is more than one page, change the margins (on the Page Layout tab) or make your clip art smaller. Last, save your document and print it out and give it to the instructorr or email it as an attachment to the instructor. Click the Office button in the top left corner and click SAVE AS.

Click Desktop. Change the file name to (your name Goals): example – Aracelia’s Goals. Then click Save.
