One of the world’s greatest novelists, Leo Tolstoy is a Russian writer and moral philosopher. His writings profoundly influenced much of 20th century literature, and his moral teachings helped shaped the thinking of several important spiritual and political leaders. His masterpieces include War and Peace (1886) and Anna Karenina (1877).
