Rob & Amanda Stufflebeam Chapter Directors

Hello B3! And welcome to a wild, wonderful Happy New Year! (with apologies to a slightly borrowed West Virginia motto) I don’t know about anyone else, but this cold is a true bummer. Our trike is safely ensconced within the confines of the comfy garage at Robert & Pam’s house, such that even if the temperatures decided to cooperate for a few hours it would be difficult to get to it. Ah well. We’re hoping to arrange a more accessible solution soon. As I write this, Amanda and I are sitting in our wonderful new home in Lancaster. The condo is sold, we have the check deposited, and Amanda is slowly healing. We can’t thank you all enough for your prayers, good thoughts and well wishes for her speedy recovery. We truly hated missing out on the Christmas Party, the Obetz Christmas for Kids and the trip to the ‘Caves. We’re hoping that by the time New Year’s rolls around, we should be good to go for 2018. Speaking of which, it goes without saying we are both super excited for the New Year. 2018 is shaping up to be truly spectacular, with great rides, dinners, outings, and trips planned. We can’t wait to get started. It is an honor and a privilege to be chosen as your new Chapter Directors, and we are both looking forward to the challenges that await. Thank you all for your confidence and faith in us. I’ll be past the holidays by the time you’re reading this – but as I write it its Dec 17th – I hope everyone has a safe, happy, and wonderful Christmas, and a Happy New Year as well. For those B3 members who are traveling, may the wind ever be at your backs. Have a great time and return home to join us at all the upcoming B3 stuff – which will be awesome. Cabin Fever is coming up! See the flyer on the web site, or in the newsletter or even the Facebook page. We hope to see many of you there. See you at the New Year’s Breakfast! Happy New Year: Wow we ended the year helping the Obetz community with the Mrs. Clause work shop. We helped in making a variety of ornaments, decorating cookies, making food for the Reindeer and writing letters to Santa. It was fun interacting with the children.

Then in December, we showed up in force to help with the Christmas Kick Off and lighting of the community tree, it was beautiful.

Some escorted the characters; others served popcorn, cookies and hot chocolate. Santa arrived and the children were lined up for their pictures with him and to tell him their desired wishes for gifts, we were also checking out ice skates and cleaning them as they were returned, which was pretty hectic when they all came back at closing of the Ice Skating rink.

It was a big success; we enjoyed the evening and went home very tired.

Huge thanks to all the B-3 members for all their time and energy. Judy Hogan and the staff from Obetz thank you all.

Enjoy the RIDE. Esther Ford

Hello Fellow Riders This is a new year and a new way to do our GWRRA thing! As your District Educator one of my new responsibilities is to write up a monthly newsletter articles and get it out to our Chapters. This process will take a bit to find its way, but several Chapters have already reached out to get me on their Editor’s email Distribution list. So thank you to them. I will be using our ADD’s to get this out until I have a good list of Chapter Editor Names and email addresses. So let me know who and where to send them 2018 is here, this is the time of year we have MFA Classes. Please make sure you have contacted Linda Copeland to schedule a Class. I have set the 2018 Rider Course Schedule and will have attached a copy of the GWRRA Registration form to this article. Feel free to visit: http://www.ohiogwrra.org and download a copy and share it. At this time I already have 1 class registration on file, so I can say hurry as these classes are filling up quickly…Every weekend in May has a class somewhere. Please don’t let these go unfilled. The least expensive way to say to a friend I care it to give them a seat in this class. Or did you ever think of a Chapter to giving one as a Door Prize!!!
