Welcome back Blanche Farber, our “newest” member. Happy to see you with us. Hearty Mazel Tov to Lynn Cohen on the birth of her first grandson, David Frederick. Congratulations to Lorraine Blumenfield and her family with the good news that granddaughter Leah Messler has been accepted to Villanova University Law School with a full scholarship! Condolences to Janeen McGrath on the loss of her much loved Aunt Evie. Many of us will remember her aunt who paid us a visit and told us about her family’s history in Anatevka.

10:00 – Board Meeting
12:30 – “PROTON THERAPY” Dr. Edward Soffen, board certified radiation oncologist, will provide an educational overview of proton therapy, an advanced form of radiation cancer treatment, offered at the ProCure Proton Therapy Center in Somerset. Dr. Soffen will discuss the science behind protons, the clinical therapy, as well as the tumor types that can be treated with protons.
Dr. Soffen is a Top 10 NJ doctor for ten years in a row and a much sought after speaker.
MAY 11
12:30 – “A MUSICAL POTPOURRI” Music students from Princeton University will treat us to a classical music concert. Featured are Jeffrey Kuan on violin and Monica Wei on flute.
MAY 18
12:30 – “DISCOVERING GOLD IN YOUR GOLDEN YEARS” This seminar is presented by Steven Guarino, Senior Specialist with Greater Trenton Behavioral Health Care. He will help us look at healthy aging, how to deal with stressors, and how to find inner peace. Gold of another kind!
